PROPER BADMINTON DOUBLES POSITIONING- How to rotate with your partner to effectively cover the court

Спорт

When you play doubles, you need to learn how to rotate with your partner properly to have a good game. In this video, Coach Kennie shows you how to position yourselves, so that you always effectively cover your side of the court.
If you play doubles, it’s important to know how to do rotation with your partner. Even if you’re both strong players, you could still lose the game if you don’t focus on your positioning.
Moving on the court well is so important in doubles, because it’s a team effort. If you learn proper rotation, it will be harder for your opponent to find a weak spot and your partnership will become more solid.
Positioning well is key if you want to win those doubles games.

    Hi Coach Kennie, Can you made a video about man positioning and strategy in the mix double? Please emphasis on when the man is serving and when man is receiving will be great. I seems to never get it right (clueless of what to do) when i receiving a serve. I generally tried to drop to the lady opponent (generally the weak one) and anticipate of what the opponent (she) is going to do. But it always seems that my anticipation is wrong and i ended up returning the weak shot, which gives away the opponent (man) to attack the open spot or my weak partner. Thank you!

  • @CoachKennieAsuncion

    @CoachKennieAsuncion

    4 жыл бұрын

    Yes will definitely discuss that for the mixed doubles strategy & positioning. I am excited for this coz’ its a favorite of mine... I will give you tips on where to place it especially from recieving a serve. As for your anticipation, if you feel you always get it wrong then take the opposite of it, if you feel like waiting for a straight try and opt for the opposite side so wait for cross (its kinda playing with your own mind to change). It’s good you are trying to anticipate it, don’t get frustrated & keep trying... i believe you will get it!! Hopefully, we can get to this topic sooner. 😁🏸😁🏸

    So whenever I play a jump smash at the rear court. They usually play a flat on the towards the opposite side. It usually lands midcourt and can't get to the shuttle quick enough. Should my partner get it instead or is it because my smash is incorrectly placed or not steep enough or all the three

    You mean you have a hard time hitting backhand shots. If that’s the case try to favor your racket more to the left guarding your weak point but ofcourse nothing beats practice of backhand on court. You can have someone feed that spot to you and you just practice the timing and strength. 😁🏸
