Proof That Top Chef Is Completely Fake

Ойын-сауық

Fans of reality TV know that a lot of creative editing is done to make things look dramatic, but some shows take it so far that people have claimed that they’re just fake. Top Chef may not seem like the kind of show that would need a lot of drama, but there is apparently a lot of it, both on and off camera. In addition, the show once had to edit around a contestant, because he was so talented that the audience would have realized he would win right away. Let’s take a look at some proof that Top Chef is completely fake.

I seen this one cooking show where this lady tried to make hollandaise sauce, She had never made it before, she didn't know how to make it. She had her egg yolks in a metal bowl and held it in the steam 6 inches at least above the pot. Didn't sit her bowl on the double boil, She held it above the pot never making a seal to trap steam and heat, never getting heat into the bowl she then continued to dump clarified butter by the gallon while her bowl was 6 inches above the pot. The 2 will never emulsify in those conditions, When it came time to judge the plates I was expecting this horribly runny and split hollandaise because she clearly did not know how to make it but, But guess what? It wasn't it was actually a very nice looking sauce i can not comment on the flavor. Complete and total bullshit, You aren't just going to make hollandaise in that method without ever making it before. The best part of all this, the 1 guy who genuinely knew how to make hollandaise sauce and make a delicious looking sauce and I am sure it tasted incredible his measurements were spot on. They critic him, and tell him that he cant make hollandaise sauce, These shows are so terrible and so fake anyone with any knowledge at all, it doesn;t even need to be formal, Would know in an instant how fake they are. I do not watch any cooking shows anymore at all, I hate them all they are all so fake

Mashed I gotta admit I'm getting pretty tired of you misleading me. To summarize this video, the hosts play nice on camera, they have scripted presentations to respect their sponsored brands, a photography team does what a photography team does, and scenes are cut in a manner that would make entertaining television. The food, chefs, judgments and challenges however are completely real -- by this video's own account. In what way does this make anything fake? The only thing fake here was the title of the video. How ironic. Not the first time you guys have pulled this nonsense. I'm out.

@@COLE_PRODUCTIONS Are you joking? There was nothing in this video that proved the show was fake in any way. Like, "One time a camera man on the show said blah blah blah..." A camera man rumor? Seriously? Oh no, they preferred to use outtakes that mentioned a sponsor! Yawn. There's nothing here that damages the integrity of the competition in any way. This video is a click-bait joke. But this comment is just crazy: "If it's not how it actually happened, then it's not real." What does real mean? There isn't a video in the world that shows the "reality" of anything. You think television even has the capacity to do that? All video is edited... Anyway, the point is about the integrity of the competition, not "showing what actually happened."

Han’s mis an place challenge episode was crazy. The man shouldn’t have hands or fingers with the level of speed and precision he showed. The problem with both Paul and Han is that they were sorta boring personalities and not prime for reality tv. They were dope though!

As one who's been on a reality show - there is a LOT in each episode of most any reality television show which is acted out and/or pre-ordained by the production crew. It is, after all, television, where ratings matter. To say it's completely fake however is taking it much too far.

I prefer Chopped, it leans more in the direction of a game show than a reality show. But it's still TV so of course it's phony to some degree; using editing to create drama, tension, and ramping up the cloying personal melodrama. Iron Chef is the closest thing to cooking as sport depicted mostly in real-time.

Reason why the format is flawed is because a contestant can be first and second place throughout the season and still get booted for one bad dish, while another contestant who never won with a dish and even ranked second to last a couple times, goes on to win the Finals. I very much enjoy how they've evolved to be more a celebration of the skills of some of our best chefs, vs. a catty competition. Judges remarks are less about being sensational/hyper-critical than simply relaying to the audience the qualities of the food. I still hope for a new format where the focus is EVEN more upon the collaborative nature of cooking than upon the "elimination challenge". But Top Chef has been moving in that direction very nicely, thank-you. They may never get there, as that may not be an entertaining enough format ... but we really enjoy that the show has evolved as it has so far.

It was kind of obvious with how the first episode of the first season started. They had brought in a contestant that was crude, vulgar and unhygienic (Ken Lee). In the reunion of the season, you got to see a clip where he put his naked dirty soles on a white couch that was stark in contrast. And ofc, for the reunion, bringing him in secured enough drama since he had no self-awareness and limits to his conducts. And although they said it's definitely not a popularity contest, they often instigate things to be so and look away when the situation does get out of hand (all that violence and verbal threats in season 2).

Do you actually mean TV shows are actually produced and are not 100% pure raw footage filmed in real time. Wow! Who knew?

I like watching reality shows a lot better than all of those crappy sitcoms, crime dramas and "end of the world" shows they have now. Oh, and Lifetime movies are the worst. My favorite shows are Survivor, Top Chef and Project Runway.

Your case that Top Chef is a fake is poor one. What you have highlighted is the challenges of making and managing broadcast programs which have several competing elements and requirements to take into consideration and yet still arrive at a product that has broad appeal and viewership. Creating these programs are incredibly difficult. I would submit your criticisms are minor in the face of their accomplishments. Another case of those who can’t do whining about other people’s successes. Stop the hating and find something more constructive to do.

None of these "points" have anything to do with the title. Not do any of them remotely discredit the show. I think the OP/Bot needs to spend time on a set.

None of this is all that scandalous. You can usually tell who is going to either be a winner or loser based on who they focus on from the beginning of the episode. We all know reality shows aren’t 100% reality. It’s still an enjoyable show.

The whole show is scripted and they pick the "winner" before filming begins. That became obvious when Nick won Season 11.
