Proof of Life, channel update ❤️

Y'all haven't heard from me in a while, and I wanted to explain a bit as to why. Liz and I got Covid after moving the shop, and the recovery has been slow. I want to get back to the lecture series like last fall and more free access videos as well, and it has proven challenging to just run the shop and make it home. Not necessarily looking for sympathy, just trying to keep you all updated in the authentic way for which I'm known.
Made this at home and some of my tech is at the shop, so no opener or credits this week. 🤦‍♀️
The shop is down to one virtual sit n stitch a week, 7-8 pm US Eastern time, the Zoom meeting code is our phone number (828 877 3550) or the following link:
us02web.zoom.us/j/8288773550
We are also doing one Sunday a month on Facebook Live and Zoom (same code as before), in February it will be the 11th from 2-4 US Eastern.

I just got Covid at Christmas, for the 1st time. I’m still struggling to get through the foggy brain, joint pain and lack of energy. I really want to thank you for the Ranunculus video series, I could not have knit that sweater without your help. I still refer to that series when making the Ranunculus. I hope you feel better soon and I love your new haircut.

So good to see you again. I can’t tell you how much your videos have helped me. I’ve rewatched videos on the Ranunculus many times. I love your teaching style. I’m so sorry you’ve been so sick. Take care of yourself above all even though you feel pulled to get back to normal fast. Just know we love you and appreciate all that you do.

Love the new 'do! The explanation about gauge math was very clear. I still end up restarting sweaters numerous times due to gauge, so this is very helpful!

I found your channel because of the Ranunculus tutorials, which are incredibly helpful. Covid is brutal. I had exhaustion and brain fog for quite a long time afterward but I did get better. Here’s to your complete healing in your own time. 🙏❤

Glad you’re feeling better. I’ve been working through the ranunculus pattern with your videos. I could not have done it without you. One thing I would love a video on is sleeve sizing. As I was working my ranunculus, I realized that her upper arm sleeve measurement for the largest size was 18” and my arm is 21”. I had to put it down and think for a couple of weeks. I finally tinked back and picked up the stitches going up 2 needle sizes. But I would love to hear how you would’ve handled that and if there are other ways to deal with that. When I tried it on it fit beautifully but there is a visible difference in the stitch sizes. I’m hoping it will even out in blocking. This is my first sweater. Thanks for all you do.

Be gentle because COVID can rebound back a few weeks after you think it’s gone. I’ve had it twice- the after effects can really linger for awhile. Your sister’s right. Take this time slowly and very seriously. Glad you’re improving and on the mend. That’s a big win.

Sorry Rebecca that you have been unwell. Hope things are better as time progresses. If at one point you are incline at looking at specific patterns and technique perhaps the Field Vest by Camilla Vad would be of interest. The designer is jot giving any links on the pattern and many, many Podcasters have mentioned being quite challenging (the grains part) as far as the jumper and cardi are concerned. There are a few tutorials on YT. However the vest is the opposite, so the grain design go from the bottom- up. I would be very happy to pay for this as I would have not been able to go through the Papillon and Ranunculus without you. My brain is aligned with your teaching ❤❤❤. Thanks heaps

Your assistance videos for the Ranunculus are amazing. You've done a great job explaining how to do things and at the same time respecting the designer 's authorship. Perhaps you could consider doing the same with a brioche hat - a free pattern? Take good care of yourself.

So glad to hear from you again! I have a small knitting/crochet channel and just referred my listeners to your excellent Ranunculus tutorials, since they helped me along as I just recently made my first Ranunculus. I am an experienced knitter, but having the guidance, particularly on the sizing issue, was extremely helpful. I hope you feel much better soon. Great idea to slow down and give your body time to heal. I love your quote from Princess Bride mug. Your tutorials are always extremely helpful, but I understand there is a quagmire in knowing which ones you can do without stepping on the toes of the designers. Many of them do make teaching videos or clips for their patterns, but many of them don't explain as step-by-step as you do it. I learn well from you! Hugs and feel better.

Love the new haircut but what happened to your flowy locks? (I get it, can't even stand long enough to take a decent shower, so the hair has to go) I have a yoke sweater to go still, then my ranunculus starts, so will still be viewing those for a while yet, which means they were well worth making! Be gentle with yourself. Give yourself permission to take the time you need to recover. (a friend of mine got it first round, and just 3-4 weeks ago was able to walk around the block, so it can take a while, sometimes.) In case you were wondering, you walked the line between whine and information just fine.

Take time needed to get well. I’ve had COVID twice, luckily mild cases each time. It is different for everyone. I have used your Ranunculus tutorial videos to make 2 Ranunculus. They are fantastic. They were very helpful, couldn’t have done it without purchasing the pattern itself. And I recommended your videos to others. Looking forward to you and Liz returning to full health. Step by step, and give yourselves some grace.🧶❤️
