Go with the flow and stay in charge: Life Lessons from Crafting, part 14- tangled yarn and tools

Here is the fourteenth in our series of Lessons for life from crafting:
Sometimes you need to let go and stay calm to untangle the yarn, though you can still stay in charge and be in control without forcing things!
Let me know what you think, what would you add? What lessons have you learned from crafting?

You had me when you said, “Brevard, North Carolina”. I’m Irish living in Scotland and your voice is just so beautiful to me. The content of this video was also beautiful and so very helpful. Thankyou for sharing all this Rebecca and for everything you do on KZread. Thanks to you I have knitted two ranunculus sweaters and enjoyed the ride so much. Well done for getting that tangle untangled! And the glimpse of you lovely cat. Thankyou. Xx

I think you are real gem. So experienced with life and problems and so why wouldn't you be brilliant at untangling yarn. Absolutely love your gauge lessons and watch them again when I need a refresher. What ever you are doing, you are very talented. Take care and its good to see you back.

An overreaction is one that makes the problem worse. Self-control is something that requires perspective, and knowing which things are big deals and which are not.

Hai saputo spiegare perfettamente ciò che spesso ho cercato di spiegare alle mie allieve e che loro hanno snobbato.

I can call myself a master of detangling as I have a naughty little dachshund who likes to help me knit - making a mess of my yarn in the process. I have been in tears and said bad words 😜 I got really frustrated in the past and pulled the yarn and made things worse. Now I take a deep breath and follow the way of the yarn tangles. It’s like finding your way out of a maze. It takes time but feels good in the 😅end. I also learned my lesson to never leave my knitting unattended.

I need to ask…what’s the yarn you used on your ranunculus?? I love it.
