Projection of Lines (Tamil) | Part 1-Intro & Drawing procedure | Lecture 8.1 | Engineering Graphics
A line is a single-dimensional drawing quantity. When a line is used to connect any two points along the shortest path, then it is called as a straight line. The topic "Projection of lines" in Engineering Graphics describes how different 2D views of a line has been drawn in a drawing sheet. The line is usually located in the first quadrant formed by the principal planes and followed the first angle projection.
There are four different positions of a straight line as follows,
1. Parallel to both the planes
2. Parallel to one plane and perpendicular to the other
3. Parallel to one plane and inclined to the other
4. Inclined to both the planes

I have published 5 videos in the projection of lines. Check the playlist on my channel page. I think you are asking to show the position of a line in isometric projection and explain the same in orthographic projection. It is possible only for the following positions. (i) Parallel to both the planes (ii) Parallel to one plane and perpendicular to the other (iii) Parallel to one plane and inclined to the other But, I can simply show the position of a line when it is in (iv) Inclined to both the planes The drawing procedure cannot be explained in 3D mode (Isometric projection). It is possible only in 2D mode (orthographic projection). I did it in the other four videos. Please check it.
