🎤 Where is Project Galileo Set? [ Jyamma 🗣️] is a fantasy land which mirrors our Bel Paese - yet is different, there is an element of “magic” - if you will - which shaped its history across the ages. 🎤 Is it based on a specific epoch? [ Jyamma 🗣️] In PG the current “era” is somewhat reminiscent of our late renaissance, but this description would be reductive of what you will experience and come across during your journey. Not all the inhabitants of the land have evolved in the same way across the ages, some are still living in an ancient and ancestral culture. Our goal is to showcase a world as diverse as possible while remaining grounded and believable. 🎤 More details about gameplay? [ Jyamma 🗣️] We are sticking to the Soulsborne formula, we are not trying to reinvent the wheel there - still - we are not doing just a carbon copy either, our goal is to give it a twist that fits with the theme and the narrative, and gives it an “italian” feel. 🎤 Something more? [ Jyamma 🗣️] Alright, we can say that among our references for combat we took a good look at Flos Duellatorum, an excellent Italian fencing manual from the 15th century, still used nowadays in historical fencing. Also, we took great care of looking into weapons that best represented and showcased the Italian fighting and artisanship styles. 🎤 Is the game open world? [ Jyamma 🗣️] The lands of PG are vast, and sprawling vistas are a common sight while journeying them. As for how vast the explorable land is, you’ll see. 🎤 Who is the main character? [ Jyamma 🗣️] Someone the world needs, but not necessarily deserves. It’s someone with a clear mission and goal, we can say for now. 🎤 What is the story about? [ Jyamma 🗣️] We picked a theme that is close to our hearts as it’s an extremely Italian story, people with a keen eye will understand the parallels between the world of PG and our country. @@jazzman7320 it isn't a defined or specific song, it is played with a marranzano (a sicilian traditional instrument) though
Soulslike aspects aside, I hope this will be like Blasphemous for Spain: a successful and culturally exalting project. A love manifesto for the devs country.

Concept and artworks are really inspiring and promising, italian renaissance culture could've so much to offer to a game like this. Also, Luca Ward's voice acting and Sabaku no Maiku's counseling could make this waaay unique and let it stand out from the soulslike panorama. Can't wait to see more of it soon!

I too am an Italian video game developer, I hope this game is able to give a voice to Italians in the world of video game development, and bring more people closer to Italy
I m always curios about Italian old culture in a game setting. I used to play Grenado Espada, but thats more of Iberian peninsula stuffs. Hopefully this game would shed some light about old fantasy italian setting.

I can’t wait to see the potential of this game. I think it might be an unic and immersive game experience in the medieval Italy. In the end I think that the soundtrack of the trailer and the voice of Luca Ward in the italian trailer are the better things.
