That was the first date of release and they changed it to August 21 which is the same day as the release of Black Myth Wukong and they have to change the date again man lol they cannot take a break.

I've never been prouder of the gamer community!

Lies of P got the combat, bosses and story right, lords of the fallen got the level design, world and build variety right. This game has to nail at least a few of the critical components to be able to compete in this saturated genre, especially with Shadow of the Erdtree on the horizon. And all these souls-likes just demonstrate how legendary fromsoft is, they nail the combat, bosses, level design, exploration, enemy variety, lore, atmosphere in all their games while most souls-likes manage to capture only a couple of these key components.

Thissss. so many cool things you could implement into a game like that, Davey Jones locker, sea monsters, all of that folklore from pirates

Looks like a refreshingly unique spin on a souls-type game w some beautiful graphics. And an 8hr demo… bold. I’m ready! 🔥

The fact that they are confident and open enough to provide an 8hr demo is very encouraging. Looking forward to trying it out on ps5.

If it was being pushed by a AAA Publisher...there wouldn't have have been a delay, and people would've blamed the devs for the state it would've been released in. This is because AAA Publishers now follow the, "release it almost finished...then finish with patches if it garnered "enough sales.""...so not to "miss" a fiscal quarterly deadline...especially with highly anticipated games. (Like GTA "Definitive" Trilogy.)

This actually looks amazing, cannot wait for that 8 hour demo.

The easy switch between loadouts is a chef's kiss! A very cool and innovative addition to the genre!!

I'm actually excited ever since they release that one trailer with epic ost music which I'm looking forward to.

So we have elden ring dlc, a month break, Wukong, and then this? Souls players are EATING this year Christ almighty

animations needs a bit more work (if possible), but it's promising.

They said 40+ hours towards the end so I’m guessing anywhere in between 60-80 for 100%

By the way, I’m so so happy that they’re releasing demos now and I’m happy that’s the independent or smaller studios doing it because it’s free you get to try it and if you enjoy it, you will buy the game which means that the small studios will absolutely get supported Versus if they just drop the game, some people are gonna be hesitant to action buy it

Played the Demo. Need's some polish and at least in the demo it feels like fast dex weapons are favoured over slower strength weapons, but that could change. It was enough to sell me on the game though, so this is definitely on my wishlist now.

Wipe, going away, nothing close to lies of P, nothing to say about staying close to DS

They need to fix the camera. Especially in actions. Its to close that sometimes u can't see ur character's body expect his head 🤦🏻‍♂️

dark souls is literally medieval europe, bloodborne is gothic london, lies of P is set in france, elden ring is inspired by nordic/ vikings culture, lords of the fallen is again medieval europe, so is mortal shell. What are you taking about? Most of these games have European culture vibes

‘European culture’ as if there hasnt been a wave of viking games and series. And lots of medieval games set in europe. Rather have some Asian cultures. Besides Grece and Italy Europe doesnt have that much ancient history
