This is amazing! thanks so much for making the video, i giggled all the way to the end at 2 am like an idiot! some clarifications though: - the "secret levels" are not replayable because I just want people to suffer. - tiering is expensive because I want players to get used to the plants first. - i tend to design games with realism style so the stats would be based on how the character looks. - that level 11-6 is a long one, hinting you should use bigger plants but i only see two columns of repeater-powered plants, definitely your fault lol. Again many thanks for doing this, i really enjoyed your editings :p

@@tovi3280 Not digger zombie, the main idea is, if you start getting overwhelmed by the zombies, your sunflower will get eaten first before your main defense. If you lose your sunflower, you can replant it later. If you lose your main defenses, it's basically game over Also, there's a lot of threats like sandstorm, necromancy, imp throw, dino's throw, etc which make the third and fourth lane vulnerable.

For those of you who are concerned that Eclise might be too difficult, just today the new 1.7 update dropped and a part of that is an "easy" mode, which still has many of the more mechanical and puzzle-ish elements of Eclise but decreases zombie HP by approx. 30%, so if you want something still puzzling but not too difficult you can try that. I do definitely recommend trying the original version, though, as it might be one of the best examples of how strategic PvZ2 can be.

@@abdolarn I do think pv2 is overhated but most of the challenge in pv2 comes from the level design being unfair rather than it being legitimately hard. If it wasn't for plant boosting or power ups I already know a couple levels that would be practically impossible without premiums. But I do agree, most people who think pv2 is completely pay to win have never even played the game.

I remember when PvZ 2 first came out. I stuck with it for many months, through all the new worlds and updates. But eventually it reached a point where it just became more frustrating than fun. I'm so glad this mod fixes that. Plus you can play this on PC, something PopCap/EA never got around to doing with vanilla PvZ 2. This is the Project M of PvZ 2!

My favorite strat in eclise is actually aloe, endurian, and spike weed. Of course, it won't work against some zombies, but it really helped me in the early stages of the game :D

Eclise is so good but i agree with how some levels feel unfair. I personally got stuck at level 2-9 and looked up a guide because i just could not find a way to not have the iceberg lettuce not die.

I think just having the secret level make a branching path once you gain access to them would fix that problem and they could just represent it with the time rift graphic already in the game

tbh I was one of the first players in the world when PvZ 2 was realeased, and I played daily for maybe 3-4 yrs? until my acc was literally deleated by EA, even with the ID, evidence, the app data and everything EA just said me "Hey, sorry about that, here you've a new acc with 500K gold and 1K gems, enjoy it!" when I literally haved all in the game (even paid plants) and I got nothing refund, obviously I deleted the game and all about EA, I realized EA's sh*** and still the same. Oh, and guess what, that "refund" acc was deleated too of the cloud :). But I hope with this mod I can back to the game I used to love.

Hey everyone! Thank you all for the positive comments already, and I hope this video was worth the wait. I just wanted to briefly clarify to any pro Eclise players who may or may not be disgusted at my plant line up. Please keep in mind all of the footage was recorded after the fact of beating a level, i.e. I play half way through a level, start recording, and then play for a minute, and then stop the recording and go to a different level. Basically meaning that the footage is not reflective of my skills. I’m still learning so much about this game as I’m still playing it. Any game is not perfect and my opinions in this video reflect my blind experience. As I said at the end, I love this mod, and more recent opinions will be discussed through future streams. You could argue I should have waited longer to make this review, but the overall ideas and opinions of Eclise was experienced and are here for your pleasure. Thanks again Daneraiders!

Easy mode and 1.7 is out now. They also slightly nerfed some of the "casual-blocking" levels at the beginning on official and easy. Some levels will probably still be hard even on easy, but I think it's more fun than ever now. The Night Egypt and Lost City levels are incredibly fun!

The difficulty is kinda brutal but if you know what you're doing and plan your plants like a genius. Hard levels will be a lot easier. While some levels consist of mindless spamming of Starfruit and Kernal-pult. (That's how I beaten Dark Ages Pt. 1)

I thought Penney's pursuit would allow you to not have to pay for everything but they haven't given us a premium plant that you would normally have to buy for some months

PP is super fun i think it's the best next to Adventure mode

you can also replay them by beating the level that leads to it

I personally liked the leveling system, not the seed packets grind, but if they made it like “the more you use a plant the better it becomes” like normal leveling systems, I would be fine with playing pvz2 more so than I am now.

This video aged like milk.

@@potato3496 Ever since Eclise, there has been tons of mods. Some include AlterZ which is created by Poss and ItsPforPea and is a casual mod. Fallen which is sort of a mix of Eclise (BETA) and AlterZ. And there's Reflourished which is suppose to come out next week

6:11 Pro Tip : For this level, get a Catapult Plant for the imp and a Repeater to take advantage of The Endangered Torchwoods. You'll get the best of both worlds.

The removed music being restored in this mod is an automatic win for me. Definitely downloading this.

Cleopatra zombie is the Egyptian version of Dancing zombie from classic pvz.

Another great video man. I can tell you’ve only gotten better at editing and script writing and your line delivery has improved DRASTICALLY since your PvZ 3 video. I hope you continue to rise and grow man

Thanks for covering this mod. I beat the entirety of it and immediately tried to convince my friends to play it. ECLISE deserves more players. Also I just want to point out that a lot of the difficulty later comes from picking too cheap of plants. People are hesitant to use the 500+ sun plants. Just for an example, 11-6 is actually not too hard with your loadout if the pepper was t2 (double damage and cost) instead of t1. This game tries to teach you that more expensive plants are sometimes neccesary without just writing that, but it doesn't always get that point across perfectly. Also custom plant skins are added in huge quantities.

Happily this video has aged horribly just like it deserves They had it coming So I can enjoy vanilla like God intended

excellent video ma dude im a new subscribrr and tbh it was worth watching ur long vids keep up the good work

the ZackScottGames clips really just hammered in the last nail of the disappointment about the microtransactions

I like how he points out free plants as the plants that have been freed even though they just take grinding

I have the mod downloaded on my phone and I love it! This video is a great review on the mod and I hope you make more pvz content. But yeah the game can feel harsh at some times and sometimes for my sanity I stop playing it for a while because I'll go insane if I keep on replaying a hard level.

PvZ2 before levelling was added was pretty darn solid if you ignored microtransactions and were fine with a bit of challenge

The only bad thing was the micro transactions every new plant was locked behind these stupid micro transactions. Curse you EA.

I have never subscribed to a KZreadr within 7 minutes of watching the first video I have seen of theirs. This was the first time. Great video! The memes are actually funny (how) and I like the fact that you were using commentary from ZackScottGames to express how bad the microtransactions in the base game are.

Eclise is terrible vanilla is so much better, at the time of recording yes eclise was good and vanilla was worse but now, vanilla is better and eclise is terrible Also, the microtransactions exist in the base game because the game is free-to-play. If they won't earn money, it's a bad business strategy and the game will be shutdown. Either way, locked plants can be earned through an Epic Quest that sometimes comes around

"floating around = shyguymask lol" shyguymask is now the official name for anything that floats in the air

I think it would be better to directly give you free plants powerups when finishing a wave, especially on the hardest levels, in order to ease the pain.

I love the fact that Eclise is on pc cuz I want to finish PvZ2 after a couple of years now but i don't wanna lose my progress Great video man, I've been waiting for it since the PvZ3 vid and it was great and funny

You need to use an emulator to play on PC. So it's technically not on PC

You'd need an android emulator to play the mod on pc.

The way you say “fresh” just sounds very fresh

Who cares? Vanilla has Ice Bloom which is waaaay better.
