You will encounter three custom monsters while playing this WAD - Imp like cannon fodder, Phantoms, mechanical Barons of Hell (same sprite as in PB) and Juggernaut boss. Both Juggernaut and cybernetic Baron Of Hell are way more durable than PB monsters, and because of no hitboxes, you can't do any headshots against them. You may also notice that the palette in this WAD is slightly changed, for example the Soulsphere colors are different than in usual, same applies to other objects. To progress through botf of these levels, you will have to find and set several switches that activate the power (first level is in Power Plant) or elevators. While at the beginning some places look rather deserted, do not be fooled because additional enemies will teleport once you do some actions, such pressing switches. There is a total of six secrets to discover in this WAD, few of them (3) require navigation through ventilation shafts, of course custom monsters are present there too. Secrets are really important to grab during the playthrough, you might find several new Marines to help, a computer map and even the BFG right before the final fight. Remember that the upgrades are not as scarce as with the normal Tiered Progression when you play with Chaotic Random, and use Lightning Gun to score headshots, too!

Dragons Breath, the best slug to have if you want to set everything on fire from your shotgun

19:46 is that tri-chaingun a new feature? I don't remember ever seeing it in Project Brutality 3.0. Looks awesome lol. as if 1 chaingun wasn't enough.. :D Also whats with that red flash of light when you shoot the shotgun? :/

The Triple Barrel Minigun has been in the mod since Project Brutality 2.03, but not it has now been overhauled along with upgraded sprites for single mode once you pick up the Triple Barrel Minigun upgrade. To select it just press weapon special, hover the circle cursor to Triple Rotary Mode and you're set. Edit: I forgot to mention that when you switch to Triple Rotary mode, you will start moving a bit slower until you switch to another weapon or back to Chaingun or Gatling mode. This is kind of a realism like factor, and intentional since Triple Rotary Minigun looks really big and heavy

The 18 barrel minigun was in 2.03. She's just been given a better coat of paint and some buttery smooth animations... Dear lord... She is Waifu material!

PolyObjects my friend. They make a world of difference when mapping & there's much more that can be done with them then just horizontally opening doors.

近所のバロンおじさん I have the latest version of gzdoom. I realized what my mistake was I fixed it. Normally you’d have to unzip it and put the whole PB folder in gzdoom but I guess not this time. You just put the whole zip into gzdoom.

This fucking game is hard af to get working.

it would be nice to increase the "hide (shoot) and seek" factor for some of the monsters. One of the things I liked most of Half life , was meeting the marines. They were somehow organised , fast ,smart, stealth and they liked ambushes. Perhaps the idea should be copied somehow , at least for some areas of the map. Descent2 has also a thief robot stealing your weapons. This could become a character who follows and attacks you between the maps and it get stronger and stronger if you don't waste some time killing him

Looking good so far. My only request for painkiller are one being able to disable the any type of change, i remember trying to disable the blackhole gun and didnt work for 2.03 version. The things i want to disable are the chainsaw scientist, killing to many of them fill the map with uncollectable chainsaws and becomes a nuisance, disable the shotgun mag upgrade, i only want it for the auto shotgun, disable the pulse rifle, i dont want it to replace the standard plasma rifle. Next is add the heavy auto cannon either within the gameplay options or adding another addon because thats what makes PB special, give the player the options to adjust gameplay experience to your preference

I believe the Pulse Cannon can be disabled, but these are not a top priority for the team right now. The Black Hole Generator is actually going to be scrapped in favor of it being a BFG firing mode upgrade instead

Is this version of PB 3.0 available to the public? There are a good amount of things in this video that I don't see in my pb3.0.

The minigun deal a bit more dmg, revolving bfg is better but quite shaky to use, unmaker range reduced, auto shotty become semi auto, enemy draught cannon can indirect shot now.

the wad is called thunderpack?

Already better gun play than the guy I watch that plays it. With him, it's just the first assault rifle, the shotguns, and fists.

this cant be the DOOM engine, is this done with the BUILD engine using DOOM sprites?

GZDoom is a Doom based engine with extensive extra features that allow for games like this. 🙂 This certainly wouldn't have been possible in Doom based engines at the time of Doom's release, but it is now 😊

Doomworld, moddb, wad-archive, you can even find some good stuff in the forum pages at zdoom.org If you're ever interested in map making yourself just look for the latest version of GZDoom, Ultimate Doom Builder, Slade3.2.0 & make sure you already have a copy of the ultimate Doom, Doom 2 & Final Doom. Hell, I'd also recommend picking up Sigil while your at it, because why not. All completely free to download, own & create with. UDB is incredibly flexible & with the right amount of brain power & creativity you can make all the games people swear are better than Doom, because fuck'em.

I can't play PB because they mangled Doom's original movement code beyond recognition and no amount of playing with the sliders fixes it.

This is what eternal should've been tbh

Cant restore it, some maps have horrible performance spikes.

to be honest that chaingun needs a small nerf with the gattling mode the gattling mode its quite op. it should have an overheat like the old HMG from 2.03 the chaingun mode its well balanced the triple chaingun mode since its an upgrade it makes sense to be OP and with no overheat

History doesn't repeat or replay and return the same? Because life is only once i can only be me once i come again in another life not the same person? Im not Brandon Howarth in 2100ad? Its great change and its a one wat ticket only? I've notice someone told me if a person passes away their account gets deleted means i don't exist at all so i have to make it good when im 30 years old so god can remember me? If I'm 31 i won't be remembered? In gods eyes? I watched Sylvia browne video book about pyschics and went to psychic fairs as well? I only remembered as 30 years old in heaven? And no rainbows in heaven as someone told me? Spirit world and pyschical world aren't merged morphed and combined?

Now THIS is how you bring Doom into the 21st century. The console Doom games are garbage.

The music makes it seem so cheesy and trying too hard. Nothing badass about the intro song. Pure corniness.
