Brutal Doom Schism or Rebalance, is a modded version of Brutal Doom v21, adding 3 different classes (UAC Marine, Paladin, Sorcerer), tons of new weapons and some monsters. The Paladin class is simply a melee tank that loves to just crush enemies with its axe, shield, sword and even only with jabs or kicks, this is the strongest class to pick. It is the only class by default that is able to devastate weaker enemies with one simple jab and does not have to pick up a Berserk Pack or Demon Rune to do so. Because of this you do not even have worry about fatalities, these finishing moves are also a very quick way to make your Paladin a beast with tons of HP and armor. That's right, if you have have a full room of Imps or Former Humans, they are a very cheap source of health and armor for you, easy way to reach 300/300. Paladin is also an only class that has a natural protection against enemy attacks (even without armor), so lots of the engagements are way easier for you than a Doomguy. You can also have a different fighting styles while using your sword, some attacks are extremely powerful slashes that cut enemies in half, some are quick piercing stabs. Your Shield + Axe (or any other smaller weapon like Assault Rifle and few more in progress), give you a 100% protection against enemy projectiles, I would not test it against rockets :P. You can also gain a 75% protection against enemy attacks for over 30 seconds, once your bracers start to glow, press WAVE1 key to activate the powerup. You may also see some new enemies during this video - a very dangerous and deadly Plasma Imp that can smite you in few seconds, also Korax as a random Cyberdemon replacement.

This mod was designed for hardcore survival cooperative, that's why paladin and sorcerer have so powerful starting loadout - when you try map15-20 of random megawad with pistol start, Quietus and Pyromancy are your best friends... XD

Yeah, as other classes it have 5 kicks (normal, side kick, jump kick, left finishing kick and slide kick) which could be combined in very fast combo, like Noob Saibot kick combos from MK3.

After arriving from Cronos, Paladin and Sorcerer was trained by UAC for basics of using firearms, however they can't use energy weapons.

there is about 200 sprites for Quietus, and moveset with 10 different attacks which you can combine in fast combos on your own

Paladin have penalty to reload speed, but have perk for small recoil, so he uses heavy weapons as rotary cannon or M60 machinegun more effective

I was hoping to see more sword action, but he keeps skipping past it to use his fists. So annoying. Otherwise, this looks really cool.

Kinda sad is brutal doom and not a solo weapons mod... so i could add some medieval-like monster mod to keep with the knightish theme

well, this mod demand BD as base because extremely extended set of animations in BD, which allow me to make melee combat feels responsive. All this cutting off of hands, legs and heads, it belongs to BD, not to vanila. And there is some medieval (hexen-like) monsters, which appears according to Schism's advanced monster spawning system. If there is boss on map, bestiary replaces with his minions. Heresiarch boss have pretty tough set of minios, such as imps with shields, afrits, dark servants, etc

A shame that the third person is still doomguy. Respriting the melee kills would be difficult enough as it is, but Idk if you can even change the player model with Gzdoom.

This mod is on WIP stage, it's 092 dev build, we are working on this animation right now. Mod isn't released yet, I was planning to make public test build at v 095, but Martinoz make this amazing video and you can see here some unfinished things.
