It’s like in dark souls when you’ve fought a boss so many times that the fight is muscle memory. But now you have to jump and fly around and keep changing abilities. I’m impressed

The ease with which he triggers the Dark Lord's green eyes is absolutely insane... most of the time he was just swinging the sword at me, charging at me or summoning tons of heavy demons. It took more than half an hour because he kept regenerating his health and I was getting really pissed off, but I wasn't afraid to die because I farmed tons of extra lives before. Eventually I did it, even if I had to restart the battle because the game crashed, but damn it was hard!

Fun fact The coffin doomguy is sealed in is the same one found in hell in the first doom so this means that he us traveling the multiverse killing gods and universes of demons so technically he is the most powerful MC in video game history

@@unruh_8470 I'm usually usually fine with controllers, but not when it comes to Doom 2016 and Eternal. You couldn't bind weapons to buttons until very recently, so quick-swap combos needed to be set up beforehand with the weapon wheel. Then it's made an extra step more awkward because there's a slight delay before the weapon wheel comes up.

On console you can decrease the delay to 70 milliseconds so it’s basically instant just memorize which direction to move the stick for what gun and then just practice

@@LightTrack- The slayer is just a guy with divine strength and speed. He can't reality warp like prime davoth could, or create anything like planets or lifeforms. The creators had to nerf davoth so that the bossfight wouldn't just be davoth waving his hand and the doomslayer poofing into nothing

This is one of the coolest boss battles in gaming for me.

The last Codex entry sounds paradox. If the blood on his sword never dries, then he is already needed for only a resting blade has dry blood on it. But the way they showed the end looks like he's being sealed/buried alive.

@@facey5425 Its all based on distance. This guy practiced and learned the perfect distance to keep him so he attacks. You don't beat the final boss on the hardest difficulty in 10 minutes without taking any damage based on luck. He did this because of skill.

Between God of War and Doom Eternal content, you're on a roll, I'm loving every second of it. Interesting that this hyper switching combo does so much more damage than the chain gun in turret mode. You used BFG! A great way to deal with those spirits. Curious if we're gonna see master level content and the find your weapons in gore nest from you.

I love how it’s such a serious, badass boss fight, but when the Dark Lord gets stunned he gets cartoon stars flying around his head with a looney toons ass sound effect.

Funny how when Slayer takes off his helmet from first person it's gold, then when it's shown from 3rd person it's green and then gold again.

i think u inverted the persons. also it's because it would've taken too much to also remodel the helmet for all the skins from the back.

Huge respect man, I completed doom 2016 on ps4 and eternal on pc, and honestly I never even imagined tryin eternal on a controller b4 I watched ur video.

@@Symbiotian I meant gameplay wise, not plot excuses. It would have been awesome seeing ARC Marines following you around aiding you in your battle. Granted they wouldn't have lasted very long in the later levels but it's the allies that's the fun part

@@SolidSnake240 that's such a lame excuse to not include good aspects of the game. It's been repeated so many times to try and shuffle away the attention from stuff missing from the game. Well, according to the doom lore, the slayer fights with his fists - he doesn't need weapons either...why are they in the game? Simple: gameplay. Same logic applies to mechs. The slayer walking around in an ARC mech and just gunning down hordes of Imps and possessed. Sign me up!
