Progress is Slow But, There is Some Progress

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I'm so sorry it has taken this long, I have had the flu and been pretty bad for a week or so. I have been pursuing my bit of good news which I will tell you about when it happens. The car is not so good news, I now think that the head or head gasket have failed. This is better than an engine out job but, I think there is still a chance that it might be an engine swap.
Head comes off tomorrow, I have asked Rob for some help. Also, I have ordered an Idler and Relay Arm kit which I should be fitting at the end of the week.
Thank you to the few of you that have supported me by buying me a coffee and joining the Patreon channel. It really helps and I really do appreciate your generosity. I have created a member area on Buy Me A Coffee and I have now created some T-Shirts, Baseball Caps and Channel Mugs.

I have just bought a set of filters for my 4JX1 from him and saved around $20 partly off the overall cost and free postage. Please give this person some support if you are in the market for 4JX1 filters etc.

Don't be fooled by the company name, they sell numerous other things as well as shelving. The two young men are friendly and extremely helpful and it was a pleasure dealing with them both. I can thoroughly recommend them, if you are looking for workshop items, give them a try. You can visit them at Noble Park or they will send anything by mail Australia wide.
Please remember to tell them that you subscribe to this channel.

Looking forward to see how you go with the timing belt and seals as I'm about to attempt just that. 👍

I hadn't realised it was the Jack with the problems. I thought you were working on the Jeep...Damn, what a PITA. Love how you explained how you've been analysing the issue. That made for some great content Dave. Looking forward to the next video.

@@thejackaroo4WDcampingchannel I just filled the Jack from near empty and it took 71.3L. When I looked up the specs, they say it has a capacity of 85L - any ideas whats going on with this discrepancy? I'd believe 75L, but not 85L

@@BenMitro The tank is 85L... empty. You still had fuel in the tank hence why it only took 71.3L.

@@MegaDirtyberty Thanks. That means when its on empty on the gauge I actually have another 100km or so of range should the scenario call for such drastic action. Appreciate your reply MegaDirtyberty.
