And I agree with you, this whole last season was pretty bad, and I am aware of the story behind it with a different production studio etc. This moment was absolutely epic and a top ten moment in the series IMO - but was the ride to get here worth taking? It was a bumpy ride as far as season 5 was concerned lol.

He was my enemy but also my friend. I owe him my life" Then when Cyclops told him "He would do it for you" (implying that Charles would save Magneto's life if he were in Charles shoes atm) basically Magneto lowered his head and wept. another scene that hit the feels.

Rogue's probably hit me the hardest. So short but pefectly worded by Xavier. She showed everybody the same amount of loyalty and love. They were all like her siblings (excluding Gambit of course) she never had as a child and was very protective of them all. It's fair to say nobody on the x-men had a heart quite like Rogue, need proof go watch the episode "Til death do us part". The scene when Storm ends up in the hospital

Rogue’s my favorite character and I also agree that Rogue treats Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Beast, Morph and Jubilee like they’re her siblings in this show and Wolverine was like a dad to her. And Rogue’s definitely loyal to the X Men, and I admire Rogue and Storm’s friendship in the animated series

Ain't no dry eyes when Logan starts to cry.

Right with Morph it hit the feels, then the honesty with Gambit, the kindness with Jubilee and the way she reacts... but when Logan breaks, it is impossible not to break with him, then the kindest of the words to Rogue. Ultimately, the words to Scott and his reaction, wow, how can you not love this mentor and father figure? I remember being a kid and bawling, ugly crying watching this scene. So beautiful, so moving, and so honest. I love this show. The artstyle was dreadful in the end, but never lost its soul.

What gets me is that this is clearly written as a farewell to 'our characters' even though technically this was just one version of the X-Men derived from the originals in the comics. But that's how influential and beloved this show was. You can't really understand it if you weren't around back in the 1990s. These weren't simply 'the cartoon X-Men'. These WERE the X-Men

I don’t think enough people are talking about Jubilee’s reaction to Charles’ parting words. He gave her hope for a better life when he and the X-Men rescued her and welcomed her to the institute. It just shows how much of positive impact Charles had on the people he met including the students he mentored. And there are two things we need to acknowledge about Wolverine. Not only did he remove his mask out of respect for his friend, but he also didn’t want to hide his emotions anymore. There’s nothing wrong with letting them win this time. After all, Charles did help him conquer the demons in his heart and regain his humanity.

This hits more than avengers vs x men when scott had phoenix force. This scene empitamizes the relationship between him and xavier it's not just teacher and student it's a father and son. To scott xavier was his teacher, his mentor, his friend, his idol and his father. It's thanks to him scott is the x man we all love and admired; the man who fights for his people and for a dream of a betters future

My heart died on this scene when I was younger and still brings out tears out of my eyes. I am proud .. proud of you all… my X-Men - Prof. Charles Xavier

Shortly after this scene Lilandra showed up and took Charles to her home world to cure him.

Oh, and one last thing - Magneto will be your new boss. hhahahahaha No wonder Charles was so charming here. He needed to soften his X-men.
