Mr. Malhotra some of us are not lucky enough to attend a school on the level of Harvard to have the chance to listen to a man like yourself and that's a shame because its easy to see why these " lucky" people have a leg up on us. Thank you for posting these talks and I pray you are able to post more. I'm 57 tears old and I listen to these over and over again to get the inspiration needed to move forward. I never had the experience of being on a campus like Harvard and get that experience of listening to something that would alter the course of life SO these talks are priceless! PLEASE see your way to post more and I THANK YOU for your time and help you don't know that you are giving threw these chats !!!! THANK YOU SIR

What he is describing about his life is what I call the "Genius Trilemma". You're so good at everything that choosing one thing would be to surgically remove so many other passions from your life. You become so free to do what you will that your freedom entombs you.

Thanks Deepak on that hopeful lecture. I'm 35 years old and after listening to this video I've decided to quit my job..I've been working there for 16 years and it was because of my personal circumstances I couldn't quit earlier. However I've now realised it is my mindset I need to change. I've recently lost my mum to cancer and I wish I had watched this earlier because it all makes sense now. Why waste time on a job you don't like and don't want to be in, if I had known better then I could have valued the importance of time. Much appreciated! Thank you.

You have just made me realize, that quitting part is why I’ve advanced in life beyond where all my contemporaries are, everytime I quit I’ve ended up finding something better (I quit poverty, I quit ignorance I quit patriarchy I quit stupid religious beliefs and traditions in my journey so far) I most especially felt that nugget about perseverance being easier to do than quitting, it’s helping me understand why so many good people are stuck in places they deserve better than.

When I was in grad school, my dept head once told me several years ago, "know when to quit" and I consider that to be one of the best pieces of advice I've had to-date. What I call "Institutional-loyalism" is one of the primary reasons why people could be unhappy. This is a great talk and I think it's on par with Steve Jobs' talk.

Deepak, Great Speech! You have a lot of heart and that is what made your speech so powerful. I think the idea of quitting often may be a slight mistake. Our generation has gotten to used to quitting early. Your idea is rooted in finding who you are and reaching your full potential. I agree with that. God has given you a gift you should consider giving more inspirational speeches to help people find their way in life.
