This is your personal opinion, which of course you are entitled to. However, they and the client who ordered are in their right to think that this is great, luxurious, and worth every penny table. You just happened to live outside of their world and cannot understand their life philosophy. Don't like it? Click dislike and move on, you are not god. And they couldn't care less about your opinion. In fact they are very proud of who they are and what they do.

@@carlosdelascuevas6140 yes, it is my opinion … just as you shared yours. As someone who has been in the African log trade for 20 years, it saddens me to see timber used in such a way. It is like taking a large diamond and tying it to a string and putting it on your neck. Natural beauty that will be hidden due to lack of craftsmanship.

@@speedster9622 most likely Sapele, possibly Sipo (Utile). That tree is 150+ years old, likely 200. I have cut many of them over the years. Log came out of Congo (DRC), But that stops this year. No more log exports from West Africa as of Jan. 1, 2023. Growth rings on that species is about 1/16”-1/8” per year.
