Product Review: Chromatek Watercolor Brush Pens v. Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens
Hello everyone. In today's video, I will be testing the Chromatek Watercolor Brush Pens against the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I'll be comparing the side-by-side to see how well they perform and if they are a more economically friendly set. This video is my honest opinion and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

Thanks you! This was exactly the kind of video about watercolor markers I was looking for.

I am so glad. I hope it helped. Thank you for watching ❤
Thanks for this, it was really helpful! I’ve ordered the chromatek ones, before I watched your video. :)

I'm so glad you found it helpful. The Chromatek is really a nice set and very economical. Have fun with your new set and if you'd like, don't for get to share your projects. I'd love to see what you create :) Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the comparison. I have a smaller set of the Zig markers. I do really like them. They are pretty expensive though. I got a set of the Chromateks for my daughter a few years ago and they were pretty affordable. I think she liked them. I’d probably try to get more Zigs based on your review but at the moment the set I have is enough.

If you're beginner at water colors, this isn't a terrible set. Especially if you're not sure that you're going to love it. But if you're a seasoned or even intermediate water colorist, a better quality set probably is better. Craft supplies are an investment and you don't want to be throwing away money on something you may not love. I approach alcohol markers in a very similar way. I started off with a mid rage marker - Spectrum Noir- not the most expensive, but not the cheapest either, and I fell in love with coloring. I began my Copic collection almost immediately after that, but i would never recommend starting with Copic, even though I think they're fantastic.
Don’t let the chroma dry as much they work better ,I think ,that way.

I'm certainly not disappointed with the chroma. They're a great watercolor brush pen for the price 😀 and I'm happy you agree.
That music between talking was 🤪😝😵😵💫

Thank you for watching and I'm sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience. Most of the music in the YT gallery can be cheesy - thank goodness for technology. I really appreciate you bringing this issue to my attention. Have yourself a wonderful day.
I have the Chromatek and bottom line is…they are specific to watercolor paper. I tried others but only WC paper was worth the effort.

I agree. I think they require a bit of water to really get them going, and other paper just can't handle the moisture. Thank you for the very insightful comment. I really appreciate it. :)
Thanks for doing this review. Not sure which one I will purchase yet. Can you buy single pens when they run out?

Thank you for watching. From what I've seen, I believe you can only buy the sets.

@@handmadebylubomira That makes it bad if you use one color a lot. Thanks for letting me know.

@@MamawCindy I completely agree. If you are a seasoned letterer then this may fall short of your needs.
Can you post the Amazon links please?

My experience with Chromatek was horrible! The brush bibs are way tooo soft & split with the slightest of pressure. And what comes out is not the pretty vibrant colors. It was dried up looking dull colors! I’ve tried many brands & this was the worst and way overpriced! Don’t waste your money! U just can’t beat Prismacolor, Windsor & Newton, Staedler & Daniel Smith. Shoot MeiLing has them for cheap cheap & they’re just as good as the higher priced ones. Just not Chromatek 👀

Thank you for your insight. I can't say that I've had the same experience, but I'm not as seasoned in watercolors as you seem to be. I don't use them as much as some of my other mediums, so it's nice to get some experienced feed back. Thanks so much.
