Salma Yes! It’s sad. I was so excited for the album because I thought these two are going to get some solos or maybe a song on their own like Calum. I am a little disappointed. And Youngblood was good but I was thinking that they could get more solos. I am in Michael’s lane, he has got beautiful voice and I am so upset that he got nothing 🤡 First and second album was so much better just only because all of them was singing a few solo parts.

Blake, I have a theory about the “sometimes when I look at you I see my wife” lyric fitting in with your idea about Teeth. Wife may not mean literally a girl, but rather a metaphor for someone/something permanent in his life. So sometimes when he looks at himself, he thinks this is who he needs to be permanently. But obviously, it changes to “then you turn into somebody I don’t know” which is him seeing that demon inside of him again.

I said it before and I'll say it again: CALM is a lyrical masterpiece. I think having Calum's backing vocals pushed to the front during Lover of Mine, 2nd verse and last chorus, was a really clever idea. I absolutely love it!

Rachelle Dupré True I didn’t think about that also and I find it interesting really the video address different avenues of those messed up things in Hollywood plastic surgery, also recording things no matter how bad they are or inappropriate, faking your death, and so on. I find the song added with the music video gives it a bigger picture than when you listen to it on your own.

Rachelle Dupré I know right I feel like this band takes time and really think through what they are putting out and it’s smart the way they are doing it. Honestly I enjoy seeing the different meanings to their songs and the melodies that aren’t normally a exact copy of any pop songs you hear on the radio. I can generally say I’m impress every time I hear something it maybe inspired from another piece of work but I can say it’s a damn good interpretation to their own song. An I’m happy they enjoy what they are doing because it touches people in a way like I’m not gonna lie sitting down during that live album listen I didn’t expect High to hit me the way it did. It took the words out my mouth I would have spoken in the situation I’m going through now and all. I hope they continue the path they are going and stay true to their craftsmanship it’s inspiring and worth it as a listener. Like I said before under a different video I don’t really mind that they took three years for their Youngblood album sure I missed them and wonder what was next but hearing what came out it was worthy of my time waiting.

I have a theory about thin white lies that other people might have, i believe that thin white lies is a metaphor for thin white lines (drugs) like when he says “just one more taste of you” it is just a theory tho

Watching and listening my way through this album again just confirms for me that @Blake McLain needs to do some 5SOS covers. There's just no way around it. I would love to hear your renditons of High and No Shame, and from the Youngblood album I think you'd absolutely nail Lie to Me, and because I really want to hear you do something more punk, I'd kill for a Blake cover of Good Girls or Voodoo Doll ❤❤❤❤❤

I gave in earlier this week and jumped on the Lewis Capaldi bandwagon and I’m so glad I did. I liked his music without knowing it was him (I had heard a couple of songs before). He’s crazy talented and his personality is so relatable. I’d love to see Blake react to his music!

And yeah you should definitely react to the lyrics in Youngblood. Actually in Youngblood most of the lyrics are very personal and intimate to Luke in some song because some songs are based on his previous relationship

When you said that in Teeth they could be talking about a fight with his demons you made me remember why the song was used in 13 Reasons Why, Alex is boxing while he's fighting his mind and the song is playing in the background. I really liked that interpretation!
