Offset printing plates are coated with thermal emulsion and imaged with laser which hardens areas exposed - all rest is washed away. Only printing image remains. Ink sticks only to exposed parts and transferred (offset) to rubber roller which transfers to paper -

Pretty much up PCB's for mothers boards and those type of components are printed and manufactured as well.

산업혁명 때부터 발명,보완을 시작한 산업영역이 방직,방적과 인쇄술 분야이지요. 저렇게 개같이 빠르게 인쇄해내는 기계를 발명해내는 엔지니어, 발명가들의 능력과 상상력을 생각하면 가히 대단할 따름 ㅠ

I wonder if it’s slower because the paper is more delicate or maybe the fold film? I used to change out the blades on smaller machines. The blades are extremely sharp when new. I did cutting machines at college book store, office supply stores etc.

The black liquid is probably the acidic agent that is oxidizing the plate for the offset printing. This is a 4 colour offset machine.

와… 옛날에 인쇄쪽 잠깐 알바 했었는데 인쇄기 오랫만에 보네요 그라비아인쇄기는 보통 4도, 6도에서 8도인쇄기도 봤고… 도무송 하리꼬미 누끼 미싱… 이 영상에선 떡제본으로 플래너 만드신거 같고… 아직 집에 종이 샘플들이 남아있네요… 아… 다시 인쇄일 하고싶어집니다…

잉크냄새 말고 종이냄새는 좋아요… 인쇄공장에 그라비아 8도 기계 찍는 비닐공장 가면… 머리 아파요…

I use to work for a company that made greeting cards. I worked a lot in the cutting department with those large cutting machines. After we cut cards.. (or paper inserts).... they went to another building to an Automatic Folder.

Hairspray and liquid soap should get ink out! How do I know? Dad was a chemical engineer and DH constantly left pens in his BDU pockets....ink was the wrong camouflage color . And you are funny 🥰

Okay, die Schneidemaschine ist Sichertstechnisch eine Katastrophe. Eine Klebebindung wird bei uns ein wenig anders verarbeitet. Habe letztens Papier aus Zuckerrohr gefalzt, ließ sich echt gut verarbeiten.

I think it’s like a blueprint machine. Did the liquid smell like ammonia?

2:10 The production of the printing matrix plate depends on the material from which the plate is made. I dealt with printing on packaging tapes. The matrix was made by irradiation: the light hardens the matrix in place that is to remain, and then the rest of the polymer is washed out with water. Here, laser hardening takes place and I suppose (because I had no pleasure to see such a device) that liquid helps to remove uncured material.
