Proboat Impulse 32 Goes 75Mph! First Time on 8s and it's Insane!!! New PB

Taking Proboats Impulse 32 out for a day on the lake.
I took the advice from viewer comments and setup the boat & achieved an All Time New PB Top Speed of 75mph on 8s!
I know its capable of alot more!
Once I got home I learned that the Esc cooling thru hull was plugged up with resin, only a 0.5mm hole was letting water in. That's why my Esc keeps overheating! All fixed now & a little better than stock .
Next Trip out will be with a New TP power 3686 2060kv motor!
Shooting for 80+!

for cooling ahould add a little small water pump for the pick up's that don't get enough water.

The Impulse ripped on 8S! Great speed, congrats. That is a beautiful spot to run your boats too. Only those poles in the water.. hopefully they're not magnetic 😅

Running great in that chop, maybe I need those tabs!! My pb is 86mph with this boat on 8s with an 1817. Haven't had much luck keeping it down beyond that....

Love all your videos great job. I have been working on my dominator for max speed, after much work, and some bad crashes, I have now reached my PB of 94 mph (8s no flips) I think I remember in one of your videos you were trying to decide which boat to keep, I would definitely recommend the dominator. I have only been in the Hobby for one year totally love it and like you seem to be I am addicted boat gang forever. GO BIG B! Thanks again for the great videos. Mark Gambetta

I got my Dom upto 66 yesterday on 6s. But I'm running a 1800kv motor. My self righting hull is a huge limiting factor for space. I'll be installing a SVM 2130kv in the Dom soon and see what I can get out of it.

prop angle should be from straight it should be 85 to 70 degree angle up from straight if you set the prop around there and you find the best setting it will be in that range from what i know.

Get a boat bitz rudder kit on there and your temps will drop, it has way bigger outlets that dont restrict water flow

Great content really enjoy your videos, very knowledgeable! I have qualified question for you, one of my boat is the pro boat sonic wake and I really love that boat but the last two times I’ve taken it out it cuts out! What I mean is once it’s in the water everything is green and good to go and so I throttle up and get to nearly 2/3 a trigger and then it cuts out and then it will run again get about 2/3 of trigger and when I bring it in the esc is blinking red! Do you know hat is going on

Esc is likely kicking out on "amp cut". Too big of prop your running or your batteries are old or too Low of C Rating. Or possibly you have a binding issue in the Driveline causing high amps.

Man you need to not be running to get speed in that rough water. Wind the trim tabs back up and be patient and wait for flat water don’t touch any other setting and don’t waste your flat water by doing half and 3/4 pace runs.By doing it this way you can hold it flat out for way longer as there will be no waves to worry you and you’ll get much more speed. On top of that If you can warm your batteries before you do the run you go even faster. I have found without warming my batteries the second full speed run is faster than my first run but the batteries are not at their highest voltage on the second pass so warming them will get even better speed on that first flat out run. For that kind of water man she’s stable great work on the tuning. I found one of my boats ran cooler and way faster on 8s same exact set up as 6s go figure. I think 60 Celsius is the limit for heat 120 f on that motor shows it can handle 8s I would leave it, I mean what the worst it can do.

I love the impulse. I want one of those or the delta force 35 hull and hardware kit. I’m about to retire my spartan, I’m at its limits and it won’t hold the power

@@H2oMechanic2RC I wonder if the carbon inlay would stiffen the hull up? Cause I believe that’s the whole issue. Also I like how the inside of the new spartan is designed, to where you can run the batteries in the center. I think the batteries being on each side is what causes the chine walking

Motors for what i know only know heat...not voltage! You can go safe on higher voltage with a smaller prop for less heat and less amperage and more speed then less voltage with big prop that causes more amperage with more heat cause effeciency is on the table...and a big prop is generally useless unless you try them all to find one that actually does not disturb the handling... That's what i learned from myself! Happy boating my friend!
