Problems With iPhone Upgrade Program!

I used to enjoy the iPhone Upgrade Program but this year almost NOTHING about the program has worked as expected in 2021. It took forever to get Apple to even accept the order. Multiple phone calls to Apple support, to Apple Card support even visits to the Apple store all ended the same way. Failed orders. After hours and days just to try and order - it finally worked. Was the challenge over? No, now the saga continues as they have lost my returned trade in phone.

@Blue Phat - it was resolved thankfully. The solution was to call Apple and explain that I had shipped it and provide the tracking number that I was given. They had to research it and found that I did drop it off. Apple then cancelled the loan and resolved everything. It took a long time to find the right person at Apple, but since I had proof of everything it worked out.
Just asking for the iPhone upgrade program on your credit card statement does it say Apple - $54.08 or Capital One $54.08

@TheKingAmeer it shows the name of the bank that processes the loan, which is Citizens One. All iPhone Upgrade Program loans are processed by Citizens One.
Let’s say I pay for the upgrade program for 12 months with the iPhone 15 can I just send the phone back and cancel the program? If I don’t want to upgrade to the new phone

@TheKingAmeer No, it’s basically a 24 month interest free loan that is cancellable after 12 months in favor of a new loan. If you don’t cancel after 12 months you must continue the interest free payments till paid off.

@@DougForce oh so $39.50 for 24 months is around $950 so it’s better to just pay the 12 months and upgrade but if you want to get out of the program you have to basically pay more than what the phone is worth basically $800 for the new phone but in order to get out of the program its $948 so that’s where they get you

@TheKingAmeer Yeah, if you look at it as a lease, it works. It saves you the hassle of buying a phone and then trying to resell it every few years. So many scammers when you try to sell, etc. You’re out the phone depreciating whether you buy it all upfront, or over 12 more months. You can pay the loan with any card, but you get 3% discount with Apple Card. It’s not the cheapest way to own an iPhone but it’s convenient. And I’m still in the program, getting a new phone every year.

@@DougForce Have you ever used a credit card I have about $300 reward on my Bank of America and I want to see if it’s work with the $39.50 monthly on the statement
