I stumbled upon your video and it is really helpful! I have one question - if I miss a connecting train, can I hop on the next one? I have read that reserving your seats is important so I have a reserved seat, can I still board the next train? We will be using the travel or the half fare pass. Thank you!

Yes you can! If your ticket is one way you will likely have a limited time frame (on the ticket). for the whole trip, but one missing connection is no big deal. And seat reservation is only really necessary for the panoramic trains (Glacier Express etc) normal trains are fine in Switzerland. There is usually a spot :>

@@SwitzerLanding this is helpful. Thank you for taking the time out and responding! I'm sure we'll get the hang of it after a day to two once we're there!

You mentioned storing luggage in between the seats as an option. Would a slightly smaller suitcase fit in between, or would it be better to store near the doors?

Small cases should fit. Its a decent amount of space. But larger cases wont

I know point-to-point tickets mean you have to travel on the exact date. But are trains in Switzerland time specific as well?
