@@mlemlemmlemmlem No, perfect pitch cannot be developed via training and it also heavily degrages by the age of 60 and further. And it's also overrated as hell. Musicians need to have proficient relative pitch, which is achievable by training. Having perfect pitch for an actual professional musician is just a nice little bonus at best, or an pretty big annoyance at worst.

As a trained musician myself, I‘m pretty satisfied with the work I‘ve put in to gain a good grasp of pitch recognition, but I cannot imagine to having been born with perfect pitch… it would just annoy me to no end, hearing the most minute pitch discrepancies on a piece of music, which to normal ears would be negligible.

As a ffxiv player watching u for the first time: Expectation: hes gonna bop What happened: how the fuck is he so good at guitar? Ive been playing guitar for 6 years and I could only dream of improvising this well over a track youve heard literally for the first time.

Bro holy shit my recommend video's definitely delivered. The way you can hear the chords and just pick up how to play it and pause with a new part of a song for literally half a second before adjusting and matching with it is absolutely INSANE to me as someone who doesn't play any instruments. That's some ridiculous skill right there dude and I'm in awe. Be careful with FFXIV though.... there's sooooooooo many good songs that'll blow your socks off LOL.

You're absolutely right, the soundtrack to FFXIV has gotten so much better with each expansion, highly recommend checking it out when you get the chance!

I was never a huge fan of metal/rock since there were a ton back in Alex tier until EW lol. Thought ShB was the ceiling for music, until played EW

That's because the OST composer changed from legendary Nobuo Uematsu (working there since FFI) to Soken!

@@Kawabongahlive Uematsu still has composed the best tracks in FFXIV though. Sokens tracks were not really my taste before ShB, they just didn't feel or sound like Final Fantasy, but in EW he totally killed it - the ost is awesome.

@@Ziegeri I would agree the Endwalker OST is superior to most of the previous works. The Heavensward OST is excellent, but I think ShB has the best trailer song of them all and also some legendary tracks like Civilizations!

Man, imagine having some of this jamming/cover stuff as alternate music on Extreme dungeons - played through normal, then take it to 11 :D

When I clicked on a react video, I was not expecting this. I love the music of FF14 and only know this song as battle background music, but this extra guitar riffs just gave this song just more character. And it is just amazing how fast you adapted to every surprise the song had to offer. Amazing stuff!

Good lord the jamming to this is legendary. the stuff at 3:00 - 3:40 is a perfect compliment to the song. I'm in awe!

If you haven't already, check out the "Emerald Weapon Theme" from Final Fantasy XIV (also called the Black Wolf Stalks Again). It has a very similar vibe to this one.
