Thanks for your video I feel like my process getting their has been rough started back in 2019 and it's been a up and down ride. Hearing your story is assuring that it's not about how you get there but that you get there. Now I'm finally a couple of flights out from my Oral and checkride. Glad you passed! & thanks for making me less self conscious about my process

@@fitz4adventures Hi Tim 👋 just wanted to let you know I PASSED my oral and passed my check ride so I'm officially a Private Pilot. Again thanks for this great video I'm sure its going to help alot of people who may be doubtful and worried. For now I'm going to savor this WIN that still has me smiling when I think about it.😁

That's awesome

I started flying at 35 and soloed at 36 after playing flight simulators since 1990! I just never thought about real flying until now. My checkride is coming up and kinda nervous about it !

Is your instructor on premises when you solo? Wondering if you have to pay him when you are soloing? Thanks

For the first solo yes they are, I was not charged for their time for that. The solo cross countries they were not there at all.

Thanks Tim. I’m 59 year old and 9 hours from my oral and check ride. Any tips you have outside your post I’ll take them.

Hey Dean, I actually bought the tabs from Lively Aviation. I had the book already so just got the tabs for 40.00 and did it myself. Super easy, only needed it once during the oral. I will say it was fun to tab, and actually helped cause I was able to skim each section I was tabbing which helped me a little.
