Private music lessons: Scott Ross, Playing & Teaching
Музыка
Unlike many soloists when their career is in full swing, Scott Ross devoted time to teaching in his class at Laval University in Quebec (1973-86). One senses in these lessons that he was used to spotting the missing detail and to explaining it in simple terms, without forgetting to place it in perspective. But he also liked to say things that would surprise, even shock his interlocutor. Scott Ross was a mixture of profundity and provocation!

The late Scott Ross is amazing! It's sad he was so ill, but he became an even much greater musician, one could say.
The jaw-dropping genius of a phrasing at 1:14-1:20 made my day!
This man has become a legend on an instrument where individuality arises w/out the color and pedalling etc of a piano . So much rests on timing and attack and musicality and in his case a personality !
la perfection absolue!
The first piece is "La Chazé" from the Second Book, Seventh Order.
Absolutely fabulous and inspiring, thank you for sharing the video!
thanks a lot for this video! (all the serie was already uploaded for some users, but erased because of harmoniamundi. so it´s good that we can watch it at least here... but we want more!
The first piece he plays after the introduction is Couperin's La Chazé, from Ordre 7ème de clavecin in G major (Book II of Pieces de Clavecin). Good stuff!
Great minds think alike, as they say!
