My Dad was there. He heard those screams .... BOOM! His first memory after that was waking up in a hospital on the east coast of Australia. He was told he had multiple fragmentation wounds from a Japanese grenade. He was told he could receive a Purple Heart and go home. He declined that ticket home and chose to return to the fight. Obviously he survived the war or I wouldn't be here to share the story.

Awesome movie series suggestion: How to train your Dragon! :D. If you don't feel like watching it, maybe your kids can make you >:D. Though to be honest considering the rest of the crap you guys watch....you're welcome! It has everything including innovation ideas >>>:DDD. 3rd one is my favourite, but they're all good. If they just kept making more I'd be happy to keep watching them. (And most importantly it does not make anyone want to punch the director and everyone associated with it. Bc there's a difference between supressing your negative feeling and not needing to supress them, bc there's nothing super disgusting about the thing you're exposing yourself to. That a useful skill. Being able to tell the difference. Stop watching sh*t it will rot your brain. At the very least be honest about the fact that its sh*t. Have that level of awareness. Are you brains just a blank slate on which anyone can write anything they want? No, they're not. You decide, you have will power and agency and ability to use your own brain. And in case the answer to this is "yes, my brain is a blank slate"...no problem, I can totally write on it >:D. I dare you to say that! ) Also the innovation is awesome and totally lasts bc its built well to begin with!!! Unlike the sad, pathetic state of events where the business models are based on crap falling apart and then needing to be replaced. Some people are capable of coming up with more than 1 crappy idea per millenium. Thus the business model should be based on doing that as much as possible. Not incremental progress as slow as possible. This is the type of innovation you guys should be ACTIVELY supporting. Whatever reasons there are for not doing it, there's a way around or through all of them. (Also, to anyone who says anything about the dangers of living with animals (dragons) and safety and stuff like that: CLEAN!!! No one is suggesting creating a cesspool of infection, you disturbed maniacs. That situation is 100% YOUR fault. But that's enough of that, I',m tired of letting ppls stupidity affect my mood. Animals are actually clean by definition, they clean themselves, it is the people who are responsible for creating the conditions where they cannot do so. Tip: it includes tiny cages. DUH.) Movie is awesome. Has lots of forests too which it great :D!

I watched some trainin videos for the new marines boot camp and the ''gender integration program" and almost died laughing. I cannot emphasize enough that gender is not your main issue, its lack of adequate training. I am not even joking. Our sports camps growing up were SO much harder than that. If that's the standard right now the new batches of marines will be getting their butts kicked by the sports kids. I haven't seen so many skinny arms since I was 11. When I look at those guys/gals, all I see is that this is the 1st time they're ever done anything active and it shows. This is why I legimately dislike any and all dumb standards and artificial segregation stuff. Its literally the worst of both worlds. You're either loosing talent or bleeding lethality. And its not the gender that's the issue. its the training and the set up of the training. In terms of the hand to hand combat stuff....foam sticks? really?? You should be teaching the women how to compensate for the size difference and win. I played sports in my life its laughable to tell me that there;s no difference bw the genders. All I see is ppl who are gonna die if they go into battle with that mentality. Guys move different, they think different. Longer legs if they're taller, longer arm span. I would never ever have won a single physical challenge against any male if I didn't learn to compensate. So, what are you going to do to compensate for that exactly? He can reach me, I can't reach him....and there's no foam stick! How do you compensate? bc we're not in a cartoon! God help us all....why is this so hard to get right? You need the right kind of integration. Integration which makes everyone better individually and as a group. So that you get more efficiency and real respect and bonding between team members. And yes it does have societal implications bc then those people have an effect on their friend groups and it changes they way they relate to eachother. It makes their personal relationships outside the forces better too. Not just inside. So its positive all around, instead of being toxic and negative. Not everyone wants to join the forces that's fine. There are jobs I don't want to do. I just don;t want to. I am not that good at them, I know for a fact I'll never excell at them, its not my strength. So what? Maybe I'm better at a crap ton of other things that guy over there is not. Whould we not be better at more things overall, together? Is that not the very definition of team work? It can't just be numbers on a board, we're not numbers. Ppl are more complex than numbers, as are group dynamics. This whole thing is ridiculous. But it has nothing to do with the presence of females in the forces. Not every team needs to be perfectly integrated either. That's not a thing. Why? Why do I need a certain number of ppl from any category to be capable or getting something done. I knew a girl who used to make up every day of the week and run hills before school. 2 hrs a day, every day. Just for conditioning. Not enough food? Who the hell has not had to compete on not enough food? We had sports camps where you were on the field every day for 8-10 hrs a day in over 40C weather. 2 weeks for markesmanship? That's barely enough to create *some* muscle memory. I swear this is the same crap as in university sports, they invest as little effort as possible into training bc they just don't care. That is exactly when injuries (and deaths) go up. It took over a year to convice them to just run basic drills. and 1 dislocated shoulder. Everyone always thinks I'm trying to be mean when I bring it up. I'm not, its stupid, they're gonna get hurt. And its definitely a 1st world problem. I'm sorry its not as appealing as talking about gender and sex all the time, but it happens to be a lot more realistic. And in my opinion it should be appealing, bc its interesting to come up with ACTUAL ways to ACTUALLY make progress. Does anyone actually want to fix the problem or shall we all grow old talking about it? It puts everyone in a bad position to keep saying that this is a gender issue and that's the main problem. Are the dudes that can't lift their butts past the obstacles secretly women? Have you not seen the women in sports? they'd can literally take some of these guys and throw them. Literally. Without hormone additives. And its not just the US either. I am not picking on the US, that's just the last video I saw. No one is doing anyone any favours by promoting this stupid crap. And to be perfectly honest I am tired of ppl acting like I should be grateful bc they granted me the right to speak or have an opinion or join the army. That's been around forever. No one had the right to take away that right to begin with. If I was born with a brain and a mouth I can speak and think. Its nature given, not politics given. I have been around toxic ppl of both genders who seem to get off on trying to constantly prove how awesome they are by being pigs. Its life. Its bc they associate pig behaviour with strength despite the fact that its destructive and demoralising to anyone who needs to be around them. That's biological. It actually cause a difference in that group. Its not logic driven, its personality driven. Some times its experience driven. They learned they can get away with it and sometimes it helps them get what they want. Its not good anyone but its besides the point. Needing to deal with toxic people is not the same thing as we now need to NOT have basic fitness standards. That is a false assumption. It assumes that just bc you add more women/minorities/etc to the mix things will automatically improve. Not true. Its just simple to do and requires minimal effort. You're going to end up breeding resentment in everyone for no reason, and having crap standards, and loosing. Maybe I'm really good at making arguments but I'm crap at carrying equipment. I want the arguments job and he can have the equipment job and we'll both be happy. There are so many more decent people than people who don't get how to behave or try to harrass others. If there's no women to harass, they just find other dudes. Its not gender related. The reason why some ppl aren't able to tell the difference is usually bc they just don't have enough life experience to be able to tell. Or they're not used to analysing that kind of stuff. I happen to like analyzing it. But I assure you most will aggree if you actually present them with that information. They just can't always do the analysis part themselves. For girls, they will mostly have to compensate for size and strength differences in general for anything physical. That doesn't mean they can't win that means they fight differently. How do ppl not know this though?....its like life 101. I don't remember a time in my life when I didn't know this. They need to know that bc otherwise they will get hurt and you will have a ton more casualties across the board. Even to just go to college and live life they need to know that. What if they get attacked? Again, its a life skill. Its just really dumb to not know that already and not integrate it into combat training of any kind. You want to tell me that if more women were more capable and more skilled that would be a negative? In what world? It makes you better all around. And in case any women read this: I am not in any way saying you are not enough the way you are, I am just contributing a persective you probably were not exposed to before. I would rather you go out there and fight and win, rather then lose and have to deal with the consequences. Those politicians and community leaders and whoever else, they don't get it. They probably never thought about it that much, or they're lazy and dumb. I promise you whichever option it is, you'll still be the one paying the price when you lose. Nothing will change that. It may sound cool in the beginning but lots of things do. Its advertising, its meant to. Its ok to ask for decent training. Anyone tell you that you're getting harrassed bc there aren't enough women in a group doesn't know what they're talking about. Yes, there are toxic group dynamics but there are also accountability measures and reporting which needs to function effectively and do its job. And if its not, that's not on you. There;s something missing there, and its the job of the ppl in charge with the big paycheques to fix that. You should not need a group to be 50/50 men to women in order to not get abused. We're 50/50 in society and abuse still happens. So that's complete BS. They just need to actually deal with them bad apples, that's it. Its not that bias doesn't exist, it very clearly does - its that the more accepting you are of it, the more ppl with use it against you.

I used to coach sports too, and I'd get similar soft kids and they and they're parents would go on about the generations and the standard BS (omg, I think I over protected them, its the same stuff regardless of generation FYI) - the BEST way to deal with that is to completely ignore it, and get everyone happy and excited for that exercise. They have to catch the bug. they have to start wanting to do it on their own not bc someone is yelling at them but bc they want to. For the military they also need to get used to yelled information, that;s fine, that's not the issue - its the motivation part. its the needing to get pushed from behind part or they'll roll their eyes. That is sad, honestly.
