The lyrical choice of "three years, fourteen days" because 3.14 is the first numbers of pi, (pi = pie), is genuinely really clever! Surprised more people aren't talking about it lol

1. This song fricking slaps! and 2. This honestly feels like a follow on song to a bad ending for "Twilight learned to Fly" where pinkie succumbs to her self loathing and distain for change.

Yeah. It definitely feels like a bad ending to Twilight Learned to Fly. Idk how to feel about that. Definitely depressing, since I'm also honestly a Ponk fan, and a little unsurprising in terms of tone (Cupcakes, anyone?) but still a banger musically.

I really get Pinkie's feeling, even though she's the party girl and I'm the quiet girl... but I almost cried seeing her sickly happy despair in this song, a psychedelic trip with drugs and bullets. I don't do drugs or party, but I share her despair and depression. I lost many friends, and they took away pieces of my heart, till there's little left. Everyday, I wake up not knowing why I woke up, and go to bed thinking about death. I also had a friend who was constantly suicidal with a severe drug addiction. She left me for a long time into a hole of drugs, and is currently trying to get out. I'm not sure if she could still live long. She has suffered so much. This is kinda rambling. It's just... I really feel like I sympathize with her, with her despair, sick laughter, and disconnection from friends. I hope to see more of such sick-cute MV.

Omg i watch your videos! There amazing! And yea i agree with you. Im struggling with issues and disabilities and disorders also im seeing a psychiatrist to be diagnosed cause i may have more disorders that are undiagnosed and that have went untreated that may be BPD/BIPOLAR DISORDER Derealization/depersealuzation disorder PTSD/C-PTSD? Bulmia (Eating disorder) And some Anxiety disorder Im on a high thing for Autism/Autistic is what my doctor told me sensory issues and so on since i seem to have alot of the symptoms as well as BPD I have a learning disability with me being Develop mentally delayed and suffer with Tourrette syndrome and Tourette Syndrome is a neurological disorder and sometimes you also show signs or other symptoms of ANXIETY disorders,OCD,ADHD and develop delays and learning disorders with Tourrette syndrome and people with tourrettes tend to have bad Anxiety/Depression also due to bad bullying cause of their disorder. I love researching about stuff cause i find it fascinating and interesting. I struggled with years of physical/verbal emotional Abuse as a child and neglect and my dad was in prision for doing awful things he was known to be a pathological liar and a "Baby toucher" or a "pedaphile" who would have sex with children/teens and sexually abused his OTHER daughter who he cheated on my mom with another women getting pregnant with just many awful things and mom was abused/neglected as a child by her mom who is my grandmother who verbally emotionally abuses ME and treats me differently compared to my two siblings cause im more like my mom and cause of my disability. My mom dated other Abusive men who Abused her and us. She was on wellfare taking care of 3 kids as a single parent. She got with my Abusive step father who Abused her and us also i witnessed domestic violence/Animal Abuse also in my home. I endured horrible torment amount of hurrassment and bullying and assault in my school by my teachers and peers and experienced educational neglect on a daily basics in multiple school settings cause the school woukd always drop the ball or mess something up. Cps,therapists,hostpitals,police,schools everyone i had terrible experience with and no one woukd help me. I was sexually assaulted by two boys my age as a child in school no one did anything. I was in an Abusive friendship in my miller years. I watched my cat get sick and slowly dying for the past phew days it was horrible how i found her when i first did was traumatic and when she passed away id see her body everywhere but it wasnt her it was scary. I struggled with alcohol addiction and Abused medications and had many toxic friendships and struggled with self harm and suicide attempts and suicidal ideation and bad Anxiety and depression and attachment problems and trust issues. My brother is in the army My uncle has lime disease and depression My grandma is dying shes above 99 years old with water in her lungs My dad will be released from prision this year wich is scary. My step dad is still Abusive. Im still being Abused but we all love one another no matter what though and get along at times. I have a UTI infection and am currently extremely ill and sick and was at the hostpital on saturday but am not right now but tomorrow will go back to get checked if the infection is going down due to me not drinking enough water and poor hygiene due to my depression and sensory issues.

Hey. If you change a few words, you can easily mistake this song for something by chemical romance, or green day. Like this is totally legit man

This is both super catchy but also hard to listen to. I've been suicidal in the past and had friends who were. But this song is also major truth hidden behind the catchiness. And people need to see it. Honestly i always felt trapped until i found...you guessed it, true friends. And i have always done my best to be that friend for others so that they don't make the mistake of ending their lives either. This song is another awesome PW, and everyone out there? You're life is worth living and you're loved by somebody. Never doubt that.

True friends and MLP helped me not put a bullet in my head five years ago. Still fighting a lot today but the doubts still manage their way in. Alcohol tends to help. Sometimes.

@@Voltaradragoness Never get a dependency on that stuff, man. Cutting back my drinking a good bit which has helped and will in the long run. It's not easy but still fighting through. Still think about the pones a good bit and it helped me cut back some. Hell, managed to go from drinking 7 days a week to about 2 since your response. One day, maybe I won't hear that voice telling me to keep drinking.

We all have this voices that push us towards bad choices, and fighting them is all we can do. It's what makes us strong.

@@Voltaradragoness It has been some time since this last comment. Things have been....up and down. On the downs, I looked back to the drink and I had myself in the bottom of a bottle too often. On the up days, it wasn't so bad. Stress has gotten to me a good bit and caused me to be down a lot. Right now, though, things are looking up. About to get a better job doing what I want to do and love doing and I'm currently trying my hand one more time with dating. Got something with her in a few days so I am looking forward to that. I.....I honestly don't know why I am responding back after all these months. I guess it felt good knowing in the back of my mind that some random person somewhere was rooting for me. It....it feels nice. Thank you for your really kind words. I'm working on improving myself mainly for myself and for other people around me. It'll be some time but I'll get there. I hope all is well with you, Voltar.

For the flack you're getting for this, its a legitimate feeling and one that needs to be discussed and confronted, not brushed off and ignored. Similar to how soldiers cope with combat humor, or how confronting doubt can ultimately make your beliefs stronger, its a good song, and I thoroughly enjoy listening to it. Back probably the 20th time in a week lol.

Yeah, this song has an unpleasant lyrics, but the vocals and music overall are wonderful. I’m sensing this becoming a one of Prince’s selected classics.

I love the mixed tone of it sounding cheery and pumped but the words are dark. I LOVE IT! Cute and violence go so well together.

Honestly that's my favorite sort of song. I also suggest a lot of Touhou songs if that's your thing. A lot of them are catchy, happy rhymes, but the lyrics are a _lot_ morbid. Even "Bad Apple" if looked at in the right way... (Although I think some of it's legitimately a wry comment on their own culture, which takes a good amount of the joy out of appreciating that dissonance.)

I always come back to this song, it reminds of good ol early 2000s nintendocore. I love the pastel candygore, and meaning of this whole song means a lot to me as a positive and outgoing person who also struggles mentally.

i feel like this song was written for me. Got cancer when i was a teenager so pills became a way of life for me and i had a tolerance to painkillers, sleeping pills, tranquilizers, and even anesthetics that were at Ozzy Osborne levels before i was out of high school. I had doctors asking to take blood, tissue, and bone marrow samples so they could study me because according to several experts I "should have died several times over by now" between the chemo and other drugs. I was given what were technically above the limit for someone my weight, IE lethal dosages of some meds. I've been in remission for about 8 or 9 years now but drugs are a way of life for me at this point. There are people who have never seen me 100% stone cold Mormon sober. I do periodically go off the addictive drugs for awhile just to prove to myself I can but under all those meds I'm a completely different person. Between the insomnia, anxiety, and chronic pain I go from a stoic but easy going and mild tempered guy to an abrasive, sarcastic, and sometimes explosive jerk. "Comfortably numb" is how i go through life, I'm not even an addict or a party boy, the pills and weed just keep me mostly normal.

Revisited this and that ending line "don't get the bad end" in your description hits really hard 🥺 That's a strong point 😌🙏

Last year, I listened to this song daily to cope. Back again... :) Lovely song, it's so gut wrenching, which is what makes it so perfect I think.

Prince should just make a whole album that's pretty much the multiple endings meme for Twilight Learned to Fly.

Ah, nothing like cheery sounding songs with hard hitting and relatable lyrics. Lots of us mask our pain by acting happy, no matter how much we’re hurting inside. Sometimes we just need an outlet, and for me rocking out to this is just what I needed. Thanks so much for this song, one of my favorites for sure!

For a song that is most themed about suicidal stuff slaps real hard, though it does make me feel depressed for Pinkie because of the song that was recently posted and also about Pinkie, "Twilight learned to fly." I ain't complaining, keep up the good work!
