Jaw hit the floor, the doubt planted in Celestia's decisions leading to her questioning what she had done was heart breaking. The voice was so clear and evoked massive waves of emotion. A legendary song I find myself blasting on repeat. This was an excellent song, and the art was incredible to match so fluidly!

my favorite part about this fandom is how it recognized the potential in this little tidbit of lore that the series barely explored and made so much amazing fan content of it

Luna’s last words to Celestia really sell it for me. She likened Celestia to the beautiful sky on the clearest day. Everyone can see that. But they don’t realize also how cold and far away the sky truly is. Celestia was so distant to her own sister. She wasn’t aware how under valued she felt. If she did, this never would have happened. Yet, Luna blames herself saying the fault is her own and to sleep well tonight. Don’t let her actions crush her. Don’t worry over it. She doesn’t blame her. They’ll see each other “soon.” Luna still tries to comfort her sister to the bitter end. No wonder that was the most replayed part.

Even if Celestia saw glimpses of what was happening with Luna, I don't think she'd know what to do. For example, I isolated myself from my family growing up and I was a loner for a long time. That combined with how I was raised makes it difficult for me to show affection to my siblings even if they need to be comforted. (I'm the oldest so I can definitely see Celestia's POV but I still feel for Luna since I relate to her as well)

I always thought that even at the start of the series they underplayed how BRUTAL it would actually be to be trapped in the moon for 1000 years

It'd be a transforming experience for sure... as in transforming into something completely inhuman. Like how the organic material made of dead sea creatures is transformed into crude oil under Earth's crust over millions of years. A black goo that barely resembles anything it was originated from.

I wish the show could have had more time to really dive into that night rather then it being regulated to a very minor scene in a much broader story arc so it could jabe really been developed and not felt rushed like it was no big deal.

I’ve thought about this from time to time, and I suppose it depends entirely on what the experience of being trapped in the moon was like. Was it like sleeping? Was she awake the whole time? If she was awake, what sensations did she experience, and would those sensations or complete sensory deprivation be worse? Things like that, because if it was a dreamless sleep of sorts, the worst part of it all could be completely different, almost like, one minute, she was fighting Celestia, and the next, she was in a changed land. In that case, she wouldn’t have been aware of her imprisonment. The worst aspect of things would have been adjusting to this “new world,” learning about the new, changed culture, and accepting that everyone you cared about in those days is suddenly gone and you never got the chance for closure. It all depends on what Luna’s experience on the moon actually was, and as far as we’re aware, it could have gone multiple ways.

'Dear sister, sleep. You'll be all right.' That's where it hits hardest for me. Even in her times of hardest decisions, she still knows who she faces, and what she means to her.

Although the looking in the mirror at her tongue may seem odd or silly, it really humanizes her, imo. Because, let's be honest, if we got a "super" or "dark" form, especially with glowing body parts, we are absolutely stripping down and looking at our new form in the mirror.

My only problem with a duet is that I kind of like how ambiguous the lyrics are if there’s only a single singer! Parts of this are obviously sung by one or the other, but sometimes the chorus becomes a little mixed, and I like how a single singer represents that.

This Royal Sisters story arc goes hard, can't wait for the next one!

Same, dude. I joined the fandom in 2010, back when the fandom was small, but exploding day by day. It was truly amazing being in the thick of the peak of the fandom during 2011-2013. I made lifelong friends because of the fandom, especially our large local meetup group. I miss the hell out of those days. Truly the best fandom I've ever been a part of. It's so rare to see a music artist revisit the same themes more than once. It's rare to see one visit the same ones you have as many times as you have. It's even rarer that each song sounds so different and still sound so good! There's soul in all of these and I'm here for it! Been going for so long and still going strong, big up! G4 o7

I kinda left the fandom after the main show ended, but I still listen to PrinceWhateverer. Such good music.

Eleven years later and I am still fascinated by the tragedy of the two sisters. This art in this video clearly shows the real drama of that time, which of course due to the nature of the show could/should never be shown like this. And the lyrics just hit that perfectly. It gives me goosebumps ;-)

I love how the part at 3:08 can be interpreted as being spoken by both Celestia and Luna, which adds another layer of heartbreak to this song.

I love how there's something off in every Prince's song like "the blood is on your hands" in fight this war, when we're talking about horses and hooves. Or, for example, "I swear to god I'm not the evil one" Which god? this line was fucking great tho p. s. when I'm saying that "something's off" I mean that you can't clearly judge that this is mlp song without really knowing the context this is incredibly funny when people like your songs without knowing they're 'bout colorful horses lmao

My hearing trashed ears enjoyed this song a lot and I'll tell you why, IT SOUNDS AMAZING... GOD I LOVE THIS SO MUCH... The whole animatic threw me back in time because it reminded me a lot of Lullaby for a Princess video ( I can tell there's some inspiration from it ). I can't wait to see and hear more music from you, you really make the Celestia - Luna theme very interesting! Blackened extra harmonies added some thickness to this track as well, he did a really good job... AND THAT BASS LINE, LOVED IT sfadghdsaf THIS IS SO GOOD... GIMME MORE!!! And the art of IRUSU is soooo good!

Every time I hear "It's over now, we're outta time" I just feel Celestia knowing that it was all wrong. She got it wrong, and there was no more time to fix things. Sometimes life is like that (not to the same extreme, of course), and we need to accept it and just make amends later down the road.

This is amazing. I LOVE how it shows the two sides of the fight. First with Luna believing Celestia is corrupt. This beliefs gives rise to her rebellion as nightmare moon to make things right. We then see Celestia’s side. Trying to talk her sister down and having to live with the sorrow of banishing her sister for 1000 years, constantly second guessing herself with “was this the only way, or could I have done something different”. Both sides believe they were in the right making the story we see a masterpiece

The feelings behind Celestia and Luna are always some of my favorite parts of the show to explore, and this one brings the heat there! Killer song, and Irusu did an amazing job on the art!

God damn these chills! This one hits different for some reason, can't really explain it. Amazing work on this one!

I will forever acknowledge that the elements of harmony changed Celestias hair after her fight with Luna from pink to multicolored. The show messed up by showing in the book of twilight her having pink mane before Luna was banished to the moon then after having the new mane color after Luna was trapped in the moon. But then they give us the ep of the battle and celestia has her multicolored mane before Luna's banishment. I get for twilight sake that that's why she thought Luna was trying to take over again, but we all know her mane was pink before that then using the elements turned her mane color after the powerboost. I stand by this opinion forever. 💯

I remember way back in the day being hooked on your cover of _Absolute Territory._ It's awesome to see you still out here, making tunes! And man, _what_ a tune. Fantastic melody, the lyrics flow really well (just one thing you've really improved on over the years!) and it just has no right to hit this bloody hard. The bridge almost has a bit of a _My Curse_ vibe to it, and I mean that as a compliment - this is peak mid-2000's angsty metal and I love it. Great to sing along to as well, so cheers for including the lyrics :D. The animatic just tops it off - for all the art style's simplicity, the facial expressions and story told are just _perfect._ Absolute, certified Choon™. You've all clearly put your hearts into this, and it shows.

Haven’t engaged with MLP stuff since the show ended and never listened to the music before, but I’ve been going through your stuff since I stumbled over the most recent song and the consistent quality is astounding. 2024 and getting into brony music for the first time.

This sounds like something I would've heard on the radio in the early 2000s or something you would hear on Lithium in SiriusXM and I absolutely love it

My best friend showed me this song for the first time since she had one of the images of Luna and Nightmare Moon as her discord icon and now i'm obsessed with not only this particular track, but a ton of your older work. Your music SLAPS and I love the artist imagery!

Man, this track goes hard in the best way possible. It really hammers in the implied trepidation Celestia had as the thousandth night approached. And punk style works perfect to represent the pain Luna felt being isolated. And that's not to even mention the genius of making the last verse function from either perspective; which highlights the neglected love between the two. And all that is futher enhanced by animatic! Truly an incredible piece!

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! It's perfect in every way, although the absolute and, with the stained glass luna, I was expecting her eyes to snap open, and I was a little sad that they didn't, but other than that one tiny thing, the entire video was awesome!
