Princeton University is a private Ivy League research university in Princeton, New Jersey. Founded in 1746 in Elizabeth as the College of New Jersey, Princeton is the fourth-oldest institution of higher education in the United States and one of the nine colonial colleges chartered before the American Revolution. The institution moved to Newark in 1747, and then to the current site nine years later. It officially became a university in 1896 and was subsequently renamed Princeton University. It is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities - Very high research activity" and has one of the largest university libraries in the world. As of October 2021, 75 Nobel laureates, 16 Fields Medalists and 16 Turing Award laureates have been affiliated with Princeton University as alumni, faculty members, or researchers.

@@MrFreyTV I ask myself the same question to be honest! In terms of national Universities they are ranked first. But in terms of global Universities, they are not even in the top ten. How is that even possible! Maybe the international ranking takes into account more factors that the ones taken in the national ranking. I can't think of any other reason.

Primceton has not professional graduate schools. this is why there is the difference between national and grobal ranking. Princeton is just like a liberal arts college.

it means professional schools. of course princeton has more strong engineering programs at the under and graduate levels than Hatvard and Yale.
I live in Princeton and I can tell you that it feels nowhere close to being the middle of nowhere. It's such a lively, bustling, and diverse city with so many things to do. We have a very well funded and excellent K-12 school system (it's the reason why house prices are so high here), and we are very close to NYC! Not to mention that nature is very beautiful here. We have so many great restaurants, stores, malls, that you can basically find anything here. I hope you conside

Thank you Rick! 🙏 Yes, this video took a lot of effort. Usually I take the drone footage in less than a day, but for this one I had to go back the next morning to take more footage because it was windy the day before and I was afraid I might have missed some areas of the campus. And of course the more the footage the harder the editing.

In MY OPINION, this is the most gorgeous Ivy League campus; Yale’s is pretty too, but this is a tad better.

I didn’t know princeton has a golf course that is so cool I visited princeton university 3 weeks ago and I didn’t see their golf course when i was there

Yes, it's because the golf course is slightly far down to the south. Most people just go visit the historic part of the campus and that's it.

It's huge for sure, but I don't know which campus is bigger. But of course Princeton is more prestigious than Rutgers and has played a significant role in the history of higher education in the US.

@@CampusMania Well. Let me think. 1. Harvard, 2. Yale, 3. Princeton, 4. Columbia, 5. Dartmouth, 6. Penn, 7. Cornell, 8. Brown. That’s my best guess. (No disrespect to Brown or Cornell). With all the college conferences realignment going on I wonder if the Ivy League would ever expand.

@@donnie2832 I agree with this list mostly. I'd just move Penn above Dartmouth. Brown is great for sure, but it's not as famous as the other ones, especially the top 3. Harvard, Yale, and Princeton are world renowned Universities. Some people won't even know what are the other Ivy League Universities away from those three.

A school without programs that most people actually care about (no medical school, no law school, no business school, no dental school, just ok engineering program).. no idea why it's #1 according to US NEWS..
