Prince, nothing to say. Speechless. For all you crying about him showboating. That is Prince. They asked for Prince. They got Prince. He doesn't play instruments, he performs. And that was one hell of a performance. You didn't know, now you know.
Prince was truly a shooting star. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ No one better!!

So yes, his guitar playing was often overlooked because he did EVERYTHING and NOT because he was black. So please take that RACE CARD out of your wallet and throw it away FOREVER my brother.

Just enough confidence to be like yeah I know I’m a bad mofo and just enough respect for the others to be like I’m enjoying the shit out of this with you guys! I’d say of live performances of rock this Hass to be either the best or at least in the top five up there with Jimi Hendrix killing floor at Monterey , queen live, set at live aid, and maybe U2. At red rock that’s a big maybe though. Stevie Ray Vaughan voodoo Child I forget which one there are quite a few good ones you get what I mean though there are such few live acts that did it as big as that if anybody else has something to add please do.

George fully understood and would've loved that scenario: The quiet guy that a couple of players aren't sure will "fit in" takes his turn three quarters of the way through and winds up blowing the rest of the field away. I think George held people like that in very high esteem. People who showed their strength through thoughtfulness, spirituality, generosity, humor, basic decency and on occasions such as this, were additionally possessed with the ability to wield a guitar with the unsurpassable talent of a Prince. To the quiet Beatle and the Prince, thank you for this, and for everything you did to enrich people's enjoyment of music, sirs.

Besides the sheer guitar brilliance shown by Prince there are so many little things to enjoy here: the grin on Dhani and Tom's faces at 4:44, then Prince again at 4:58, Tom shaking his head at 5:08 as if to say "Man this guy is good!"; then Prince's smile and nod at 5:34. They're obviously having so much fun, it's a pleasure to watch.
@sbillips753

Eddie Van Halen passed today and this memorandum was the first I thought of. He's with his guitar brethren now, rest on brothers 🤲🏽
Last comment I promise not mention Prince Is one sharp dressed man.
Imagine that…. Superstars sounding like superstars! Love this rendition!
Everyone did they're thing. Excellent, seriously. But Prince............wow. next level.

PRINCE is simply SMOKIN'!!!! Go on my friend and tear it up. Lord how you are missed. I think George would have LOVED this!
You know the amazing thing is I think I read that Prince had never even heard this song until shortly before the show. What an amazing performance

I find that hard to believe. Why would you agree to play a tribute to someone whose song you don't know?

@@thingfish000 A skilled musician like Prince could probably learn the song faster than we think

There's literally a zero percent chance that one of the greatest musicians ever had never heard one of the best songs on one of the best albums by the most famous band ever before. Sorry
THIS IS WHAT BOZE HEADPHONES WERE MADE FOR ;):) miss this dude in the physical. He is EASY TO CHANNEL!! he is more of a ham now that he is on the other side of the veil.
Prince was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall that night, hence his solo. This performance with the other performers was one for the record books. They all seemed like they had a good time, and they honored George Harrison with this rendition.
... and this is why Eric Clapton has called Prince the greatest guitar player of all time. I have seen this probably 100's of times and it STILL gives me the chills to watch Prince play. If you know anything about the guitar, what he did in this performance was absolutely untouchable.

Same here. Also Beware of Darkness. So many of his songs are both spiritual and haunting. You just don't see this around today. Hopefully in the future. Gotta have faith.

After falling back into his bodyguards hands. He doesn't skip a beat... Gives a lil grin and knocks out that funky little riff... Slides down that bass line like, " Yeah MFers... I (Prince) came here to send GH out with a bang."
We can tell Jimi Hendrix was there on stage too...by Prince's guitar solo's feeling!!!🙏🏾

Prince is the best ever❣️
My sanctuary, whenever I feel melancholic. RIP Prince and Tom.
Growing up in the 80’s of course I was subjected to the many hits that Prince produced, it took years for me to fully appreciate the mark he left on the world of music. He was one of a kind musical prodigy and had an enormously profound affect on so many in the world. Luckily I was able to see him live in 1997 and savored every moment. I hope by passing his music onto my kids and the younger generation we keep his legacy and spirit alive. RIP Prince
One year gone tomorrow - simply cannot believe it. The word Legend will never do him justice. :(
RIP Tom and Prince
This is such a badass performance by 1 & by all...they all make this 1 of greatest music performances ever... George, Tom & Prince yaw rest in peace & do yaw's thang up in Heaven...luv & miss yaw...
The way he bends the strings and uses vibrato at the top of the bend at 4:13 is next level
Never mind your weeping guitar George. Prince's caught fire and melted. Best solo ever.
I remember someone saying that after the perforrmance,Prince's guitar took a smoke break!
