I saw him play the love symbol in its entirety in Montreal in the 1990s,he then took a break and then played his older songs for another almost 2 hours. It was the most amazing show i have ever seen

I was a bit disappointed with how the final cut of D&P ended up tbh. I really prefer the D&P beginnings production and original demos version. I did think this felt like a natural progression from D&P though. It has some wonderful songs.

Love Symbol is to me the best, most consistent Prince album up to that point since Sign O The Times. Every tune is strong but 'Love 2 The 9's', 'The Morning Papers', 'Blue Light', 'Sweet Baby' and '7' are absolute gems. I love them. EDIT Why on earth did I not mention 'Damn U'? Insanely gorgeous tune!

However, I'm not kissing her rear-end. People wanna get mad at Prince for the whole Manuela-thing; now it was wrong how he went about it, but Mayte wasn't innocent either. And what makes me question her creditability is when she decided to release her book, "The Most Beautiful:My Life with Prince", last year. I mean, if you really wanted to tell us your epic love story, well, why didn't you release/write it sooner? Just don't know.

This video makes me feel incredibly sad. All the things that could and should have been are gone, forever.

Wolverine Scratch it does me too. I love this song and this album. I love when he and Mayte were together. They always looked so in love with each other, I hated when they divorced. I know they were both very sad over their split and especially when their son died, I don't think either one ever got over it and unfortunately their marriage didn't survive it either.
