@seendro84 they're not there lol. this isn't a speedrun (like my other vid is), it's just a collection of alternative things you can do in the game, which I didn't do in my speedrun

There is a faster way to avoid falling slabs : poke them, then crouch down and stand up immediately : the slab will fall on you whilst you're standing up without hurting you. Well done anyway, my best time is 28:56!

Ah ok! Well, this vid is just to show a few different things you can do, not everything.

I dont know if this bug is well known, but you can kill jaffar without using your sword. Try it: just go through the slate. Jaffar draw his sword. Your character draw his sword too. Just leave the battle and jump through the hole. Jaffar will go and stop at the limit of the hole. Just walk in front of the hole, at the limit. And wait for the right moment to jump forward. If you dont get hit by jaffar, he falls and die. Hope you understood, i'm not english nor american...

Yes, I knew that :) That's the only way I could do it until I worked out how to be quick through the guillotines.

Maybe slightly quicker yeah. :) but to be specific you need to crouch and then be rising to your feet as the tile falls on you to avoid any damage. If a tile hits you while you are crouched you loose 2 lives!

the fastest way to get past the first guard is jump through it? not sure is a bug or wat, there was once where i was really frustrated only the first level and decide to attempt suicide by charging and jumpring towards the guard which eventually jump over and straight towards exit.

There is a part between level one and two that you have to drink the right potion other wise you start over and it's a bitch.

How did you do that jump at 2:46? I tried with pusing Shift + Up + Left button and I crashed to my death.

you just quickly walk towards the person you are fightning. He won't be able to hit you while you are doing it.

Not really correct. You HAVE to have your sword drawn, which you didn't mention. But presumably you meant that coz approaching an enemy without your sword drawn would result in instant death. But even with your sword you can still be hit and killed if the enemy gets in enough blows. You need to advance quickly, but also block every attack on you or you'll go nowhere.

I completed this game on Amiga in my childhood without any cheats in 60 min, but i took me couple of years. I remember when noone of my friends could kill the boss in lev. 5 I was first who did it. We called this boss fatman :D

That's level 6. After fatman you meet shadow and fall to level 7. ;)

I agree. Even Jordan Mechner while he was creating PoP felt something was missing until he introduced combat into the game. Skipping guards is just a different way to play the game.

Haha yeah. Coz I used the cheat to skip around just to do the bits for this vid. For for the other speedrun vid, I didn't use the cheat.

Actually THIS is Prince of Persia. The original one. That one that Jordan Mechner created. Released for Apple II in 1989. Ubisoft has taken the rights and enhanced the game...
