Prince Harry under fire for wearing medals during army award presentation
Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue says Prince Harry was involved in a “kerfuffle” after choosing to wear medals during a remote presentation of a US army award.
The Duke of Sussex has copped criticism for wearing four medals - including his grandmother's various Jubilees - while handing out the award for Military Times Soldier of the Year to combat medic Sergeant First Class Elizabeth Marks.
“People are questioning why he didn’t wear the medal that he got for coming to the King’s coronation,” Ms Krakue said.
“People are saying that’s a snub to the King and he’s trying to create a clear line between his life pre-the Queen and before he fled to the US with Meghan and after, when his father became King.
“Obviously it’s hard to tell whether these kinds of moves are calculated by the Sussex’s because that would require us to give them a degree of intelligence and cleverness.”

He’s not even popular (just well known for the wrong things), he’s not American, and he barely deserves to be called a veteran. He’s bashed his own country, looks down on our rights here in the US and has done not much else then cause trouble every where he goes. And I understand he didn’t even earn them. A recipient had to be on active duty and to have served 5 years, I heard. Harry was given commemorative ones as a member of the family, as all the family received them as commemorative gifts. Seems odd to me that he wears them. He seems to want to advertise that he is a member of the royal family (that’s how he got them) but, as you say, he has publicly trashed them, over and over. He can’t seem to decide what his own message is. In my opinion, it makes him look all he more like he’s playing toy soldiers. Allegedly, my opinion.

I’m not sure how dedicated Harry is to military causes when as Captain General of the Royal Marines he snubbed a memorial service to murdered marines and instead attended the Lion King premier where he was caught touting for work for Markle with Disney chief, Bob Iger. This was of course only one example of his behaviour post marriage but while still a working royal. One of many reasons the public began to remove their support for this greedy couple.

Working in RAF Germany and losing friends during the troubles when Harry decided that his wife's career was more important than remembering those that had lost their lives whilst serving the Late Queen is what turned many vet including myself away from him and his wife. I lost all respect for him and so did so many others who had thought he was there for his Comrades in Arms. He has no respect for the Military accept when using the IG as a fashion show for his wife. He's raised no money and Heart of Invictus turned out to be a bloody joke instead of being about the Veterans who lost so much

The Afghan medal he got for 10 weeks basic service. The others he got for his Grandmother being alive, & that 3rd one, the Platinum Jubilee medal, he should not have been awarded, as he had lost all connections to the military by then. I blame the Americans for giving him the platform when the circumstances are known, and for paying him $250,000 to give that pathetic, faux Royal speech.

Those Invictus Games were founded/begun by Harry ONLY in conjunction with William, Catherine, AND then Prince Charles. The late Queen agreed and suggested Harry might a good fit as Patron of the Games and the other three concurred. Harry and Meghan are draining the finances of those games by making ludicrous demands for their security, housing, clothing, etc, for them to be there, AND they make the games all about Meghan and Harry. Mike Tindall makes a far more appropriate Patron since we can be assured that the emphasis will remain on the warriors!

No matter what the down fall of Prince Andrew is, no one can take away from Prince Andrew that he was a REAL war hero when he served as a helicopter pilot in the Falklands War, it is a well known fact that he used his helicopter as a decoy to try to save our ships and men who were being bombarded by the Argentinian forces when our ships were hit and men were dying and injured, I for one salute Prince Andrew for his bravery and for his service to our country and the Commonwealth.

How insulting he’s presenting a medal to and actual decorated veterans wearing ´medals’ for attending parties ! How disrespectful. Those are not medals for valour or courage, they’re status symbol trinkets he got simply by being born into a family.

Harry should NOT be giving out medals to American soldiers. Since when does a foreign, disgraced, drug taking ex-Royal get to do that? As an American 🇺🇸 I am totally disgusted. He just needs to leave the US. He’s not wanted here. As far as the medals he wore, the only reason he has them is because of his granny. They mostly have NO meaning as far as being a soldier is concerned.

Three of those medals are jubilee medals. Only one is an actual service medal for Harry's 10 weeks in total of deployment where he was kept protected in a bunker. He never saw any live action and was flown out any time there was real danger. It's insulting to anyone who served their country that Harry is handing out awards to anyone. Doesn't the American military have someone more deserving candidate for this particular occasion? Harry and his IGLBW have destroyed The Invictus Games. They do nothing but turn up and take credit for all the hard work other people have done. They don't raise any money for the veterans or the games. They just turn up via private jet, stay in 5 star hotels and charge Invictus for all their expenses including Meghan's inappropriate wardrobe choices. The games are no longer about the veterans, they are the Harry and Meghan show. If I was a veteran, I would refuse to participate until Invictus find a more suitable patron.

I'm an American, and I'm very sick and tired of the "Harry and Meghan show"! 🤬 While Harry may claim this attachment to the Invictus games, he seems to have no problem cheapening such an important thing by allowing his wife to hijack every aspect of the games!🤬 She can "support" her husband and the games FROM THE SIDELINES, NOT by giving speeches, being in the middle of award presentations, or marching IN FRONT OF REAL SOLDIERS!!🤬 Harry and his wife are RUINING the games! Stop with the "easing" Harry out, and just give him a quick shove the hell out before he and his controlling shrew wife do any more damage!!
Only one is a Army Metal , the others were Jubilee Metals..He served an in my opinion has every right to wear it. But I disagree with him presenting it..he did not serve in the U.S. Army...so I question why they chose him.

He worked in the army for exactly 10 weeks. All soldiers out there were given a medal. As I understand. Harry was paid thousands to give that award. Both he and Rachel use Invictus money for private jets. Clothes. 5 star hotels and special food. The rest of the Royal Family work hard for their charities for nothing and oft times give money themselves.

Harry copied the American Warrior Games (which both Princes were involved from the start except only Prince William stills donates $$$ to .) The thing that really made my blood boil is that H is made out to be some big war hero, when that's so far from the truth!!! Harry was protected and never saw the front lines!!! H being there put REAL SOLDIERS at risk, he put a bigger target on the soldiers that was babysitting him and where he was stationed . H given out an American Military Award for Solider of the year whilst he is wearing 1 British military medal & 3 medals for the late Queen ,his Grandmother, jubilee's is 100% disrespectful , cringe and gross!!! His not a working Royal or an American SOLIDER so why is he acting as he is????? The last time I checked we the American people stood with our FOUNDING FATHERS
