    Agree, but this makes me dislike Harry even more. Because I don’t think there is a family in existence who don’t have these problems. Harry is throwing everyone under the bus for his own image and to me that’s unacceptable. My family haven’t always been that great but I’d never slate them like this and I don’t even have the platform Harry has. If Harry cared that much about his family, he’d be a peacemaker not a destroyer and he’d focus more on his family than his books. I don’t even think my mother has ever “hugged” me but some people are like that. Harry on the other hand, complains about his father publicly not being affectionate enough and seems to think his family are the only ones like this, and when people like me hear him complaining about it I can’t help but wonder why he thinks it’s so abnormal to have conflicts in families - as if he is the only victim of a dysfunctional in the entire world. He needs to grow up. He really is a man-child. Who cares if his brother physically assaulted him? That’s nothing new in families. The difference with Harry and normal people is that he is destroying his family by going public. Instead of trying to gain public approval he should just stick with his therapist. All he wants to do is gain sympathy and destroy everyone else.

    I think he has the right to share all that he went through in his life, you know, growing up as someone who lived in the limelight, the rumours about his dad's affair and his mom's death at such a young age. All this things affected him and this book feels more like an attempt to share all that he went through and maybe to understand why he did what he did and how he felt throughout those experiences rather than trying to grab attention. I feel like after having so many many people give false narratives of his story or misinforming people about his experiences at least now he's taking a step to control the narrative and at least share his point of view of the story to anyone who's trying or even willing to listen. To anyone who's saying that he should not be bad mouthing the family and this is not a good or healthy way to heal, but I feel like everyone chooses the way they want to heal. And he has every right to share his story and if you're so disinterested in it or if you don't feel OK with it then just maybe don't read it. You have a choice not to read it. That's all you have to do. But I don't think he's doing anything wrong in trying to share his narrative of the incidents that he has gone through.

    They mention that in the video, the saddest part is that Charles really saw him as THAT and nothing more. There was no affection or relationship, and Charles' comments to Harry were just hurtful. Even Diana herself said that Charles stopped being affectionate towards her when Harry was born and the spare was done. The other "spares": Margaret, Anne, Andrew, Charlotte at least grew up with love and affection despite being in a shadow, but Harry never got that.

    My take after finishing the book Through this book I see that Harry has never been able to get over his mothers death and it’s understandable people deal with grief differently. I feel this book has helped him to get a lot off his chest and I hope he can make peace with himself. I like the fact he’s honest about weed,drugs,anxiety etc. But if he continues to go further than this book he is just going to look like the Prince of WAILS. I think Harry paints his dad in a much nicer light than he did in the hideous interview with Oprah which is nice and it seems like he does miss his brother. However I do feel that because of this book it may be a long time before his brother will trust him again whether it is Harry’s truth or not. I felt the part of the book where Harry drove through the tunnel at the speed his Mum went through really touched me. I can’t imagine the emotions he felt and the realisation he said going from she’s hiding to she’s dead. To say Harry couldn’t get his wife a therapist it sure sounds like a therapist has written a lot of this book and that he has spent most of his life with a therapist so why did he act like he didn’t have any therapists details for his wife when he had one on speed dial? I feel Harry contradicts himself so much in this book compared to what he has said when sitting down with Oprah. Harry says that is family didn’t have control over newspapers when they printed the story about him being on deaths door when he was a kid. But later when it comes to Meghan he acts as if his family could have done something. Harry mentions private details that the public doesn’t need to know such as his brother being circumcised but when anyone wants to talk about Harry and Meghan they are racist but personal details about other peoples lives is “their truth. Harry acts as if siblings don’t fight and don’t want to be associated with their younger siblings is because William is the Heir no it’s because you are the annoying younger sibling which happens in most families. The burial claims of the miscarried baby are questionable in the laws of america… The scary thing about Harry’s truth is he talks a lot about his mind blanking out certain parts of his life so how do we know what happened he says “memory winks out completely” then I was at the airport. Harry says he never callled the family racist WOW he sure led the public to believe that alongside his wife on Oprah. Harry says Willy found a place and invited me to stay with him or maybe I invited myself? What are statements like this suppose to mean Harry ? Harry spoke to a war survivor of nazi’s who told him stories but he won’t repeat them because they aren’t his stories to tell. But his dad having a teddy bear with him to help him over his childhood traumas is Harry’s story to tell? Harry and Meghans love story sounded beautiful this was probably my fav part of the book and maybe should have been more of the focus rather than his bitterness towards his family. I don’t believe that Meghan had never googled his family just because she didn’t recognise Prince Andrew at the side of the Queen…I just don’t buy that narrative Harry says that once when he spoke rudely to meghan and she said she wouldn’t stand for it. That he knew he had to deal with his anger within and that William had told him to go to therapy before..so why did he act like none of his family tried to help him. Harry said that his father adored meghan so why wasn’t he doing more in the press. If Charles adored meghan then it leads more to her actions rather than her colour that destroyed the relationship with King Charles As soon as Charles said he wouldn’t be able to pay for meghan as well and William and Kate Harry automatically goes to the fact that his dad was jealous of someone stealing the limelight from the King hahaha…give me a break So when he said he wanted to use Diana’s diamonds from her bracelet and turn it into meghans wedding ring William didn’t hesitate it giving it. So how then did Harry so quickly turn them into racists ? Harry said his father was delighted to learn he was going to be a grandfather again and William gushed and said you have to tell Kate.. pretty much sounded like William was excited. I do believe that the Queen was heavily influenced by the firm in her later years and I believe there is some truth to what Harry is saying there. I hope as a family they can work things out and remove this Kardashian drama from the screens

The way that Meghan was treated by the media when she first started dating Harry was positively glowing in comparison to what Kate got when she started dating Wills. The media only turned on her when she started telling porkies and the media circus that was her relationship with her family (turns out that they have more things that they can verify about the way that certain events happened than she can - so that should tell you something about her current reliability)

    Yes, having a "spare" isn't new everyone, but the reality is it seems wrong, because we're in a more modern era of time. The reality is treating a child as a spare (whether it was normal, or not back in the day) is technically wrong, because of how they are treated in comparison to the other child and only around to replace them if they're gone. Whether this is new, or not, it's a messed up concept to treat a child as a "spare" generally whether it's in relation to royalty, or not. There's plenty of other children that aren't royals that feel like a "spare".

  • @EVALLOYD

    @EVALLOYD

    Жыл бұрын

    That's what happens in Royalty also in aristocratic families. Someone has to inherit the title, you can't divide it up between the siblings to avoid jealousy, so it's usually the first born son if sons there are. In the case of Elisabeth, there were no sons, only herself and her sister. I doubt very much that Harry was told day in and day out that he was just a spare and had no other reason to be alive. You could say that then for Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward before Charles married and had children but they get on with their lives, the spare element is a mere matter of fact. That's ridiculous. Shouldn't he rejoice that unlike his father and brother, he is not trapped as they are, that's what he said in the Oprah interview.

You know what they say "actions speak louder than words". @@Rachel-xu4br And how is a spare treated if not like any other person in your opinion? The fact remains that Charles and Diana had two children, William was born first and not Harry. Harry knows that as such, William would be heir to the throne and not him. It's the luck of the draw. From documentaries, photos, love was lavished on both children by both their parents, by their grandmother, grandfather, great grandmother so what the heck is he complaining about. As heir to the throne, William would have been made aware at a young age what his future responsibilities would be, just as the late Queen was. And as Harry said himself, he was free to do what he wanted, marry whom he wanted whereas his father and brother could not marry for love as he did. Seems that part of being a spare, suited him to a T. If you watched the Oprah interview, you may remember Harry describing his father and brother as being trapped. @user-xn3os4ge6x You neither have no idea what went on behind closed door and are basing your opinions on the words of Harry himself as you state "more than likely due to his father's "spare" treatment". So you take Harry's words to be gospel, do you? Charles loved both his sons, there is more than enough proof of that. In his book, he writes that when his father came to tell him and William of his mother's death, Harry says he didn't get a hug, what Charles did, it's in his book, “He sat down on the edge of the bed,” “He put a hand on my knee. Darling boy, Mummy's been in a car crash.” That in my opinion was pretty caring. It's also well reported that after Diana's death, Charles spent a lot of time with his boys, becoming very close to them; both of them, not just William the heir. And why oh why, would Charles constantly remind Harry that he was just a spare, only there, according to Harry, to supply a body part, among other things, if William were ever to need one. That's what he may have thought, but no proof whatsoever that was the mindset of his family. In the Oprah interview, he and his wife implied that the Royal Family were racist, that Meghan was never really accepted because she was biracial, worries about what colour of skin their child would be. In his book, he says his family is not racist. So what is it, Harry, are your family racist or are they not. Because of so many inconsistencies in what he claims one day, then chops and changes his story another day, I personally read what he writes with a very, big pinch of salt.

My brother's school, the lacrosse team was big, and their players were known to have weed hiding in their scooters, and never got checked. My school, one year a girl came back from prom and a beer can fell out of the limo, she was expelled immediately. The next year, the riding team was caught by the local cops at a house party with all sorts of drinks and hunch punch, and they took drunken selfies they posted on facebook. They only got their team captains title revoked and had to do 4 weeks of Saturday detention. Expensive schools only care about their donors and status. Catcher in the Rye is a pretty accurate representation of what happens in those schools. I remember one of the girls in English class when we had to read it reviewed it as "Kinda boring. If I wanted to read a book about bullshit dorm drama at a wealthy prep school, I'd have just read my diary." If that puts it in perspective.

Taking someone's life, whether they deserved it or not, is not something to embellish in a book to get it to sell!

    It’s because the media kept making up rumours about them and profiting off the harassment they were committing to the couple. So they decided to take back the narrative or at least give their side of the story to those interested so at least it’s out there and profit over their own story. Since they do need the money what with all the security they need to keep the media out.

They do things that families around the world also do, big deal! He’s acting like he was abused but never gives any evidence for that abuse. He’s crying because he was referred to as a spare and he didn’t get all the attention he felt he deserved when his mom died. Notice he doesn’t say when my mom died my dad stuck his head in the door and yelled “your moms dead punk!” He says his dad called him a darling boy and placed his hand on his knee, a perfectly reasonable situation…but Harry doesn’t consider how his dad felt or how William felt, he feels abused because he didn’t get hugged and her death wasn’t all about him…He’s selfish and entitled.

    No matter what Harry claims the royal family aren't going to make any statements which Harry knows. So he can pretty much say what he wants. I'm hoping all the interviews are over now because Harry seems to think he has has such a hard life. So many children lost their mother's and received no help, I'm sure he did. Brothers always have moments where they hate each other. Doing a Netflix special series, a tell all book and a round of interviews won't get him back on good terms with his family. Whatever went on with him and his family has nothing to do with anyone other than them. Britain doesn't need to know, America don't in fact the rest of the world doesn't need to know. You build bridges by talking to each other!! Oh and by the way, when somebody apologises for what they have done the issue is finished! Not put in a tell all book. Harry please go and live the life you want to lead with the wife you love, be happy but stop this nonesense, you are better than this!!

It seems like he has been somewhat blaming his family for the death and trying hard to make them angry to get even from his mithers death.
