Damn, this was probably the most relevant and meaningful videos ever. Barbara Walters. If we had the same journalism today that existed then, we wouldn't be as divided as we are. All of those honorable mentions deserved to be in her top interviews. And to end with Monica Lewinski. RIP, the last honest journalist ever

She was just as slanted in her prime as journalists are today, but in 2012 Obama made it legal to propagandize Americans, which is why everything seems so much worse than it had before. Americans aren't used to it like most other countries are. Having lots of journalistic outlets also helps for information but causes more division because people hear more than one opinion and thus have less intellectual common ground. Also having multi-culturalism instead of unity makes it worse because people don't even have a common foundation anymore to start from, so even people who WANT to talk have to parse out worldview for a couple hours before any real talking can start. America just doomed. Good luck with that

I remember watching Barbara Walters when I was little. Seeing her interviews on tv with my mom aside, and previously together, me and my mom watched a 20/20 special of her career and personal life on Sunday, when I heard that Walters died, I was sad but at least her name was and will continue to be never forgotten. She’s a very talented woman in journalism and we’ll all miss her and remember her. ❤❤❤📺

They were raped & humiliatingly abused. When you get raped & constantly abuse by your parents, not strangers, then you can comment. We have abuse survivors who eventually left the abusive situation - but they have become eternal shells of themselves. Hurting everyone but the persons who hurt them and being emotionally crippled. No one is clapping for that act. But we thank God they were taken out of life, cos that means that no other children were caught up in their evil. P.S Your comments make you sound like actual child molesters.

I like many folks in this comments section have watched Barbara Walters my whole life and she was a role model for all women in this country no matter who they were or where they came from. My #1 favorite interview that Walters did was in 2006 with the widow of Steve Irwin, Terri, at Australia Zoo a few weeks after Steve had passed. Walters was very sensitive and empathetic to Terri and also showed kindness with compassion not only to Terri, but to Steve's father Robert when she had talked with him too at Australia Zoo. May Barbara Walters along with all the folks that she interviewed who have since passed on since their time together all rest in eternal peace.

She was my go to when I raised my daughter. I also had two sons and a lot of people gave me a hard time about the fact that I spent a lot of time telling my daughter she could do anything and I did it every single minute of every single day of her life until she went to college. My sons did fine that's because they already had their way cut out for them as soon as they were born. Now where do I get this feeling from? My father and grandfather had a business a construction business that went back several generations. After my grandfather died my dad tried to get my brothers to join and take the helm. With 3 boys none of them wanted to. He sold the company He Never Once Asked Me. I got married I got abused but Barbara Walters would not let me make that excuse. In the end I became the most coveted AutoCAD manager and designer in the construction industry in Houston Texas. Self taught. And my daughter I will not tell you her name because she is entitled to privacy but she broke through the glass ceiling of one of the top 3 companies in the world and she is making a difference everyday in all of our lives. Thank you Barbara

She interviewed Michael Jackson. At times to me at least, she was very kind to him but not as rude as some others (like Oprah) have been. I respect her for not letting her personal views shade her journalisttic career and interviewing those people who were "controversial" because someone had to do it. She wasn't my favorite journalist but she wasn't the worst. She had a long rewarding life and i hope she's resting peacefully now.

But she sounded kind and like talking to a child who asked for to much when Michael Jackson just wanted to be more respected than getting headlines where he was called a horrendous ''nickname'' that was also racistical, and about how they made up false stories... and I mean till this day!! With all the thousands of wonderful pictures of his often completely adoreble handsome beaty to be found all over the internet ...the press chose to show bad pictures of him and talk about how he destroyed his looks... and she ask that question as if it is the medias JOB to not be kind??? But not ALL celebrities are treated that way, explain that then!!
