Prince Charles' Moving Tribute to Windrush Generation

Prince Charles has paid tribute to the Windrush generation in a video message to Britain's Caribbean community, thanking them for their contribution to life in the UK.
Windrush Day on Monday 22 June marks the 72nd anniversary of the arrival of HMT Empire Windrush at Tilbury Docks, Essex, in 1948, carrying hundreds of people from the Caribbean, who had been invited to help rebuild Britain in the wake of the Second World War.
Speaking from his home office, the Prince of Wales said: "Today offers an opportunity to express the debt of gratitude we owe to that first Windrush generation for accepting the invitation to come to Britain and, above all, to recognise the immeasurable difference that they, their children and their grandchildren have made to so many aspects of our public life, to our culture and to every sector of our economy."

You know, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; Prince Charles has gotten a bad rap over the years for being “cold and unfeeling.” But his warmth and sincerity shines through in this and every other videos he’s done since the lockdown.

It is a good thing to say thank you to all of those who contributed. The reason for the special acknowledgement is counter the dreadful treatment they have received from the current generations who threw them out of the country; seniors who haven't been home all their working lives. Shame on those that are responsible for these policies.

Even i can realise that Prince Harry has left England and his family mainly because of her influence. Personally Prince Charles missing his dear son. Then how he will come forward to support? Whether she is black or white we all miss Prince Harry. People should not make it as a racial issue. What she did is not acceptable.

A big advantage of the UK being a monarchy is that we can listen, absorb and agree with this message from our future King, while trying to convince our politicians to do the right thing but realising our democracy is hugely imperfect and it will take time to achieve closure on this appalling Windrush scandal.

This is a disgrace!! Charles, are you aware of the children of the Windrush generation who were discarded and sent back to a homeland they don't even know??!! This was done recently, in the past year, during YOUR lifetime. This is a slap in the face!! The impertinence!! After these Windrush people came to Britain and worked their arses off, you say nothing about the trauma your government has caused to an entire generation. The soil from where the Windrush people came will not ever welcome you and your ilk. You will surely have great problems in these countries when and if you become king. Stay in Britain. Remember that. Shalom✌
