    Before anyone claims I "hate" Mayhems... I don't. For the record even after the public issue I had with them 2 years ago I have continued to use Mayhems XT, XT1 and am still using green pastel in Skunkworks without any color change issues. Mayhems and I have stayed in communication all this time and because of my issues the pastel product has been improved based on my experience! Also if you want to fact check my statements about Aurora, here is Mayhems spec sheet on Aurora. - mayhems.co.uk/mayhems-aurora-guide/

    9:13 Fun fact, glycol is alcohol. Everyone calls ethanol "alcohol", even though it's just one of many different alcohols.

  • @alexlow8

    @alexlow8

    6 жыл бұрын

    I was going to say that. Glad someone else already did. Any Organic compound with a name ending in "ol" you can safely bet on being an alcohol. The "ol" naming convention denotes the presence of at least one hydroxyl group bonded to a saturated carbon atom, which is what makes it an alcohol. Organic Chemistry 101.

Also, I know that a lot of people say this, but seriously Jay, I freaking love the lighting and just how the video looks, you're an incredibly talented artist, and it really does make me wonder what you could do if you had an unlimited budget for your camera and lighting setup. :)

    Pearl-swirl. Rheoscopic indicator. Rheo-what? Rheo from the Latin. Flow. Movement of fluids. River = Rio. Scopic as in lets you scope out the flow. Microscopic silvered mica flakes in suspension. Not saying this is the same stuff, as the mica will settle out over time. But if this guys have found a micro-flake that doesn't settle out, then I want.

  • @8836290

    Obviously you know it wrong. "Rheo" comes from the Greek "Ρεο" or "Ρέω" (verb) which means flow or I flow (the verb). "Scopic" is again Greek word derived from the word "σκοπικός" which means "I see" or watch or observe something. You have the same word in "telescope" or on "oscilloscope" as well as in many other words. The Latins just borrowed those words from Greeks. So "Rheoscopic" in general means something that you can see it when it flows, or it shows its movement when it flows. Pretty much every liquid. Don;t try to use Google translator. The words are first used in ancient Greek language and they still being used as such until today.

    There are a few amazing as well as affordable cases coming out this quarter. I see improvements that cover many of the small mistakes made on the current top cases, ie spacing and airflow as well as provisions for water and supports for the huge 1080 ti gpu's. You will notice the problems I am talking about when Jay finishes that Cougar open air build. I really like the looks and design of the Cougar but feel there were may spacing issues over looked. Most of the new higher end mother boards (Ryzen 7, i9, and Thread ripper)are EATX and provide clearance issues in the Cougar open air and others as well.

    That "boiling" effect is so cool, ive always liked custom watercooling loops but i have always thougt that the fluid movement should be showing some way.

    Good work guys. I purchased some Mayhems aurora red years ago an was about to fill my new loop with it until I heard it would clog up my blocks. I'll be watching this fluid with interest and if it tests out ok then I might buy some in red for my loop.

    Hopefully you'll do an update on this in a couple months so we can see how it's holding up! Because honestly, this fluid has me wanting to build a customer water loop for the first time.
