PRIMITIVE SKILLS; Building Bamboo fence, sturdy, long lasting

Bamboo is one of the most useful plants in life and many different fields. Growing naturally in the forest, bamboo has extremely strong vitality. It looks so simple and rustic, but it can be used for many different purposes. Can be used as baskets, vegetable trellises, cribs, rafts, ropes... to serve life and agricultural production. In addition, it can also be used to make barns, huts, bamboo panels, partitions, fences, miniatures, etc. to serve the architecture and construction industry. Bamboo is also a raw material used to make tables, chairs, cabinets, bamboo beds, sofas, kitchen shelves, cabinets, bamboo lamps, etc. In the field of furniture. In the field of handicrafts, bamboo is crafted into bamboo baskets, paper boxes, souvenirs, etc. In culinary life, bamboo shoots are used to stir-fry, cook, pickle, etc., all of which are very delicious. In addition, bamboo tubes are also used to make bamboo rice, imbued with national cultural identity. You see, bamboo can be used in many different fields. It is both safe for the environment and cost-effective while bringing extremely rustic and unique beauty.

I absolutely love your videos, they are very calming for me. I love everything you have done so far and it is so cool to see everything you've made from nothing. I'm still on the episode where you first made the bamboo fence because I don't want to skip ahead and miss anything. I just wanted to comment now because I am enjoying the journey and can't wait until I can make it to this video. Please keep up the amazing work, I look forward to every video.

Just a crazy idea but now that you have the new fence you could also try getting lots of baby bamboo and lining them down the fence and as they grow up you weave them and tie them together. Over time you would need to remove sprouts you didn't want or use them for any other wall you wanted to make doing the same thing. Love the video and can't wait to see what you do next.

We only have a very small type of bamboo native to the Seattle area, not hollow, and it's hard to find. Other types of bamboo can grow here, but it gets cold, so only a few, and mostly more ornamental types than useful ones. But we can get pre-made bamboo items. My favorite is my cutting board!

A fence won't help much. You have to cut off the tips of their wings. Then they will fly up to a maximum of 1 m. My grandmother used to do this to prevent the chickens from jumping out of the pen.

Someone commented earlier that clipping the wingtips of your chickens would help prevent them from flying or flying far or high enough to get over the fence. In addition to replacing your fence to keep them out of your garden, please consider clipping their wings. It might be a very helpful option, as well as a useful primitive method to demonstrate. You can, most likely find videos on KZread about how to properly do that and care for the clipped wings while they heal. Your new fence looks great! : ) Would it be a good idea that would help reinforce both fences and basically make one much better, studier fence if you tied both fences together in several places?

you need a longer brush! Also, more chairs. Invite family over for fishing, for sure. also you should get a load of plants that can feed your chickens, while being planted. so the chickens can go harvest foodthemself efficently. And you can make a fly larve autocatcher, to feed your chicken protein.

I might suggest that you use something like a net or mesh to cover the newly sewn fields and seedlings that would allow sunlight through yet prevent the chickens from coming in, you also might want to build them their own fenced in area or start thinning your flock as the fact that they go into and dig up your crop means that not enough of them are getting fed as i did notice that you have a lot of roosters.

dense soil might make it harder for cassava tuber to grow, you could forge a pronged fork to turn up the dirt, or just use a hoe

Yes! A garden fork or pitch fork, both really, would be very useful on Duong’s farm. Garden forks are great for digger tubers and roots. Pitch forks are great for moving piles of organic debris and turning compost piles!
