Primitive Ocean Kayak Fishing and Dolphin Encounter
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Last week I posted the first video of my primitive cattail boat as I launched from the beach and managed to push the small bushcraft sea vessel through the waves and reach the calmness of the open ocean. This raft or kayak proved to be very stable and reliable on the water as I paddled around for about an hour. In this video, I take the same kayak out again but this time I’m bringing my fishing gear to practice some primitive ocean survival fishing techniques with an artificial lure and fresh bait. During this three and a half hour voyage I found myself among a school of dolphin and even had a visit by a sea lion. Once again the kayak performed very well and I am looking forward to even greater adventures at sea in the near future.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions):
Who films you?
I do. I travel alone, shoot, edit, upload, everything.
How many cameras do you use?
Usually I use just one camera. When I have underwater scenes then I also use a GoPro camera. I get different angles by moving the camera around and repeating the action to create a more cinematic viewing experience for the audience.
Where is this place?
In order to protect the integrity of the natural landscape I prefer to be very vague about the locations I use. There are places that I used to visit that were so beautiful and untouched but the consequences of social media brought all kinds of people to visit and sadly some people do not respect nature and have badly damaged these places. Therefore I do not share exactly where I go.
Do you workout?
Yes, I workout, but not in a gym. I have some weights that I use and also do a lot of bodyweight exercises. I also run and sometimes swim. I hike frequently do collect wild foods and to shoot these videos so I'm very active all the time.
Are you vegan or vegetarian?
I wish I could maintain my health on a primal diet that does not include animals but unfortunately that did not work and I ended up with health problems as a result of those attempts. From my studies, observations of nature, and personal experience I have come to believe that the best diet for optimal human health is a primal diet (paleo).

why u think he is alone?
I feel extremely sad seeing others happy, it's not jealousy, it's a felling that i can't explain, but it goes like: " why can't i do that too..?" You're so strong and brave to live like this, i can't imagine how hard it must be, yet so peaceful and beautiful. Hats off to this gentleman!!

Hoping u have managed to find that sense of personal happiness. Looking at the life of another and making comparison's is easy to do. @@OneHundredPercent-100 things have improved, i learned to be happy, i see the beauty in small things, i smile when i see clouds, when i hear the sound of the wind shuffling a tree's leaves, when it's sunny outside, even when it's not, i find happiness in many things now, even tho i tend to feel sad again when i think about the world, i'll finish high school soon, i'll have to go to college, and then work a job for the rest of my life, i don't even know how to chose a college, i don't feel prepared enough, i kept ignoring it to be happy but i feel like i'm out of time to ignore it, and i gotta climb this huge mountain which is just another step in the staircase called life, i'm sure i'll find peace one day, life is hard, but it's beautiful, very beautiful, i'm happy now

@@tygrontix Glad to hear that 👍🏽 Don't overthink life. I used to, it doesn't make for happiness. Like tides and the rhythm of life itself, jst go with its flow. Chose a college that suits the needs of UR future, not what's expected of u by others. The things u do now impact ur future. Its good to have a qualifications, it opens up the future, but ur whole existence is not solely that. Its a path u will walk but not ur main road. I remember when I first watched a video of you starting the hut series. This is just amazing, bringing us back to our roots and teaching us about the nature and primitive life. I do like living in the modern society as we have more options how to live, but we often lose our purpose and sense for living. Back then it was simple: survive and you'll be counted as happy.

Aloha Chad! My Uncle Manu used to wear what you call a loin cloth, here in Hawaii it is called a 'malo'. He lived across the street from Punaluu Beach on Oahu, he was the caretaker there. We would camp for 2 wks every summer growing up, great memories! My husband is a long time survivalist, we have always had our 'go bag' ready, mine is in my car! Tsunamis (see Hilo tsunami), really no time to try and pack while in a panic! Earthquakes, I am set to jump out my window if my stairway collapses! I send Aloha to this troubled planet, even here in Maui, the homeless and addicts are rampant and full time caution and awareness has changed our land, I pray we do not lose our "Aloha Spirit". Aloha a hui ho Chad Zuber (with love until we meet again)
