Deer moss can be used to start fires. Find some lighter pine. And if it’s raining and there is Spanish moss you can find some dry twigs in it to use for kindling.

You can actually eat the fins & tail, too - better if you don't turn them into charcoal, though. My grandpa told me you just crunch them up like Fritos! (It is doable, I did it as a kid.)

Brah, when using a fero rod to start a fire, never use the edge of your blade. Although it will work, it dulls and damages the edge. Not good in a survival situation. Always use the edge of the back of the knife. As long as it has a sharp ninety degree edge which yours does. Anyway, I watched your first vid, and I’ll keep watching until the day you call it quits. Don’t make it anytime soon either! If your ever in Virginia near DC, give me a hollar. The Potomac has some big bertha’s!
