El Cuasimodo jugo solo en Brasil con el santos por 18 Años...solo 2 veces jugó contra europeos en partidos oficiales en las 2 finales intercontinentales contra el Benfica y Juventus...nada más ..después tuvo muchos amistosos..en el scratch jugo en Suecia 4 de 7 partidos y el mejor fue Garrincha..el 62 jugo 1 de 7 y nuevamente el mejor fue Garrincha..el 7o jugó en la mejor selección de la historia...su palmarés es más colectivo que individual.. These comparisons are kind of a moot point. Can't compare players of different periods. Sure thing is this: No Pele, no Messi. BUT at the same time, if Messi had a time machine and went back to Pele's time , he could score like 3.000 goals EASILY. He would score 5 goals minimum every game. If Pele had a time machine and travelled in this day and age, he wouldn't be able to adjust at least for a couple of years, and then he would just maybe have some average numbers.. Pele was a pioneer, Messi perfected everything

No, Brazil won three world cups. Pelé participated in two, because he barely played in 1962! And out of those three world cups, he only became best player in 1970. In 58 he got overshadowed by midfield general Didi, and in 62 Garrincha was the man!
