Prime Fitness Single Stack Detailed Review: Ordering Process, Shipping, Cost and More!!

Спорт

The Prime Fitness Single Stack review is finally here. This machine is probably the most versatile and space saving cable stack for a home gym, other than a functional trainer. Features a 350LB Weight Stack for the high pulley and an adjustable low Pulley with a 2:1 ratio so you're getting 175LBS of pulling weight. You also can buy a variety of accessories from Prime Fitness, which I own the Lat Pull-down and the Low Row Platform. If you don't have a lot of space and want the versatility of a cable machine, I highly recommend this Prime Fitness HLP Single Stack!!

    I’m going in. The only problem I’m having deciding is to go with the plate loaded. Or the selectorized 1/4. If I go the selectorized route I can always just get a pin to add more weight right? I think the 1:4 will be much smoother and I can use a sled harness on it.

  • @GoreckiFit

    @GoreckiFit

    Жыл бұрын

    Selectorized is 2:1 ratio for the adjustable pulley and 1:1 with high pulley. I love the idea of being able to switch ratios with the plate loaded (4:1 or 2:1)but I workout w the gf and there is a big strength curve and she doesn’t like to load weight or unload 😂 so the selectorized won. And yes, you can add weight with a pin.

    What do you think is your favorite feature about the single stack? Also, the seat and the foot plate look kinda beefy, do you think someone with a smaller frame will be able to do it alone?

  • @GoreckiFit

    @GoreckiFit

    2 жыл бұрын

    I think my favorite feature is actually the low row foot platform. The fact that I can place it up higher and pull a bench over makes it very comfortable to do rows. As for the seat and foot plate, I did weigh them and their about 32lbs each. I think if you brace yourself and let that attachment lean up against you while lining up the holes, you shouldn’t have any problem putting the attachments on. Initially the attachment were hard to put on the single stack since the powder coating are in the holes, but after using it a few times, the powder coating wore down a bit and it’s much smoother.

  • @GoreckiFit

    @GoreckiFit

    Yeah, it’s very slight unless you’re fully braced and pulling very heavy. I think if they used a 1 inch pin in the back, it would have fixed it but probably added more weight to the seat which is 32 lbs already.

    I want to buy either 2 x Prime Fitness Selectorized Single Stack or 1 x Rogue Lat Pulldown LP-2 and 2x Rogue Cable Tower CT-1. Which one would you choose and which one do you think has the better quality?

  • @GoreckiFit

    @GoreckiFit

    2 жыл бұрын

    So this answer depends. Rogue LP-2 comes with a 300lb stack, 10lb increments and ships almost fully assembled. If this is going in a garage or facility, that isn’t a huge deal but if it ends up going in a lower level gym, moving it downstairs is going to be quite difficult plus you have ceiling height requirements. Prime Fitness ships disassembled and has different height and stack/weight increments and is not meant to be a stand alone Lat pulldown but can function as one. If it’s a faculty, having a Lat pulldown and the CT-1’s make more sense because it’s separate pieces and you won’t have to change out seat/low row attachment each time. If it’s a home gym, I think the 2 HLP Prodigy Single Stacks are gonna be the better way to go since you they are just as versatile and take up less space and will save you money. Quality is in my opinion fallen for Rogue post pandemic but anyway you go, the quality is going to very similar. Hope that helps!!

    I have a titan tower cable machine and a Valor lat pull down machine. Do I really need this prime lat pull down if I already have the machines avobe?? I wanted to add a functional trainner to my set up but don't know yet. Thinking about getting ares too with pr4000 and selling my prx wall rack, lat pull down and titan cable tower.

  • @GoreckiFit

    @GoreckiFit

    Жыл бұрын

    If you have the above machines already, no, you don’t need the Prime Single Stack because the cable tower will do the function of the adjustable pulley and the lat machine you have will perform functionally the same as this machines dedicated high pulley. I haven’t seen enough details about the Ares so personally holding off until someone like Gluck reviews it would be my recommendations. It looks great to me but for the price, definitely hold off and see how well it goes. People thought Rogue’s Slinger was gonna be awesome and many people were disappointed. Let me know what you decide as I’m always interested to hear how others setup their space.

    Wow, that shipping price is crazy. I am interested in their products but being priced at 3.4k with no attachments shipped makes this a no go. Now if you choose a 2 day shipment I understand the price. I seen someone in the comments say they ordered one a month ago and was still waiting - oof. Cool review but paying hundreds in shipping and having to wait 4+weeks seems crazy to me.

  • @GoreckiFit

    @GoreckiFit

    Жыл бұрын

    Yeah I agree, the shipping price is crazy. The lead time is more like 10-12 weeks, these machines are made to order and require half down before they will even start manufacturing it. Rogue’s was too tall for my basement and came fully assembled so it would have been difficult to get it downstairs so that’s why I went this route. Overall it was worth it for my purposes but your points are very valid because it was crazy expensive and took about 3 months to get it to my door.

  • @lrww5673

    @lrww5673

    Жыл бұрын

    @@GoreckiFit I appreciate the quick reply! However, that's unfortunate to hear. Even Rogue has a limited lifetime warranty on frame and structural welds. Then again, for the prices these companies charge, I really scratch my head when both Prime and Rogue offer only a 90 day warranty on upholstery. Seems pretty weak to me! I am looking at a Tuffstuff Lat Pulldown/Row machine which is literally, less than 1/3 the price of the Prodigy and it comes with a full lifetime warranty on ALL parts if used in a home, non-commercial setting. It's not the unit I really want, and has a lot less functionality, but for the price difference over the Prodigy, I might have to go with it.

  • @GoreckiFit

    @GoreckiFit

    Жыл бұрын

    @@lrww5673 yeah I think it’s because most of these pieces are meant for commercial gyms and due to the abuse they undoubtedly get put through, they don’t offer anything lifetime. They definitely should offer it for their home gym customers though, it’s definitely unfortunate they don’t.
