Their rower is 51% more expensive than a C2. That’s a product category where there is a clear established gold standard. Their treadmill is unique and so far there aren’t any alternatives. If you think that treadmill will be ‘priced right’ you’re crazy.

The resistance handle on the airbike is in an awkward spot. They should turn it into a shifter attached to the handle like you would see on a regular bike. That way people don't have to let go of the handle and whatnot.

@@rjm656 There's also quality, and reliability. We know that C2 products last, are built in Vermont, and I can get all the reasonably priced replacement parts to rebuild an old machine. I have no fear that a machine is going to break and I can't get it up and running again. I am also confident I can sell my machine for about what I paid for it (I bought mine a few years ago where they were a couple hundred dollars cheaper). REP stuff looks great, but they outsource to China and probably don't have 100% control of their manufacturing. If my V1 of their rower breaks, and they are on V3, will they have those V1 parts? C2 supports there stuff forever.

I have been waiting for this preview! It looks like their blade pitch system is similar to the way helicopters change their angle of attack. If it is, then it is well proven technology and should be reliable. With limited $ & space, the most interesting one is the treadmill by far. I am curious how it stacks up in terms of price, size, and performance to the BoS Blitz Manual (magnetic curved) Treadmill ($5k) and Xebex SledTrac 6000 ($3.2k). If they hit the $3k price point, it's an easy win for Rep.

So if I'm getting this right, combining blade pitch with a damper would allow you to control both how much air is moving and how quickly it's moving? Conceptionally, you'd be able to use these as both cardio and strength training (not comparable to barbell, obviously). I wonder if there are any stats on the weight equivalent of the pulls/pushes and I'm also curious how much additional stress that puts on the components and what they've done to beef them up accordingly.

Coop I have a question! Is this the first Airbike/airdyne you guys are aware of to have truly adjustable resistance? If so that’s truly game changing and can’t be overstated, I love airbikes for myself and my clients but I have thought about getting different models with different sized fans just because it can be hard to get the resistance you want for either a specific goal or a person’s level. Assault and Echo for example are a little too heavy for my older clients who just started fitness.

It looks like a compact design, the pitch is interesting would adjusting incline to simulate uphill running be practical with a design like this or is the pitch in the front meant to simulate up hill running? Or maybe the design is meant to reduce impact on your ankles and knees?

Awesome coverage. Generally, I'm skeptical of home gym companies doing cardio. C2's rower is dominant for more than the build... resale value, readily available cheap parts, universally comparable times... you can do online competitions, compare times in Hyrox, etc. Skieerg the network effects are probably smaller but still there. After I got those two, the Bikeerg was almost inevitable. All that said... the RUNNER looks amazing. I was looking at treadmills and sledmills, but will hold off on all of them. Wish they could have teased a price tho'...

The treadmill looks sick. Hopefully the price is on point. I would love to see Rep add an attachment or something to that sled bar so the backwards walks aren't just a straight bar digging into your back. $1,200 seems pretty crazy for the rower until you figure in that shipping is included. Still, shipping is only around $55 so I think they will have a tough time competing with the C2 at a higher price point. There is just so much reputation around the C2 that a higher price is doing them a bit of a disservice. I would also love to see the resistance cabling tucked away or something so it isn't just hanging out like that. Not the end of the world but it's the small things. I really hope the fan bike can accommodate people with short legs. That was my biggest gripe about the Echo. Hopefully Rep's bike can accommodate a wider variety of body types.

lol Coop's reaction to the pricing. You could tell he wanted to tell them they were way off base. Idk how anyone justifies this at 50% higher than C2

That treadmill looks so cool! I love it could be also used as sled push/pull.

The treadmill is super cool. The rest is clever but ultimately meh. They are a cool idea with an unpolished implementation: a lot of extra steel and knobs that have not been optimized yet. I would rather buy a trusted and refined product especially if you are charging more. I will be interested to see what gen 2 looks like.

No prices yet unfortunately. TBH, they were still very much in a beta stage. Need some refinement and they'll probably then figure out pricing is my guess. - Coop

Probably similar to the other treadmills of the same style. So $3k+.

Seems a bit like a gimmick to me. And a lot of potential for something to break on the mechanism.
