I was going to write this, Me as a Ronaldo fan, still think that Ronaldo is more complete than Messi and that Ronaldo is better than Messi in the sense of showing up in important moments. But Messi is pure magic, one is pure talent, one is pure work. and for me, I also think, Messi's prime is around 2010-2011. Correct me if I'm wrong, or if you disagree.

DeVo Messi is a better dribbler, passer, playmaker, on par finisher (just this season), and team player than Ronaldo. He is more of a midfield type, and you know what they say, midfielders are the most complete players. Messi does show up to important moments, that’s why he has so many trophies and individual awards.

Agreed Messi's true prime was 2009-12 when he was unbelievably fast and quick. After 2013 he lost some speed and quickness, (still incredibly fast) but made up for it with better facilitation, passing, and placement. Prime Messi could not be contained but the Messi of after will still kill you silently

Looking at this objectively, Ronaldo in his prime was superior. I mean, the guy could literally do everything. He had speed, dribbling, power, finishing, weak foot, long shots, headers, free kicks, penalties, skills, passing, insane counter attacking ability. He could score any type of goal. Just looking at this video alone, he scored three BACKHEELS in one season. He was just outstanding in every single department. Not only that, but he scored loads of goals vs the top teams. Barcelona: 4 goals Atletico Madrid: 5 goals Netherlands: 2 goals Sevilla: 4 goals Malaga: 3 goals Athletic Bilbao: 3 goals Bayern: 2 goals In my opinion, I haven't seen anyone more complete/better than Ronaldo in the 2011-12 season.

Correct, Messi had a respectable season then holding an impossible record to break, 93 goals in a year. Both were outstanding, I liked Ronaldobin the 13/14 season better though, he scored against Atletico, Bayern, Galatasaray, against Barcelona, and had 17 goals in the UCL

Many Ronaldo supporters reckon that Ronaldo's prime was back in 2012/13 when he used to dribble past players, use his pace, etcetera. But for me the present Ronaldo is his absolute prime. The best and easiest way to make a difference is by scoring goals and being there in the decisive moments against big teams. Ronaldo did not win any collective/individual honour in 2012/13 (major). He has been winning Ballon d'ors and UCL in the latter stages of his career which for me is his true prime. He has been always been pivotal in his team success' but now he is rewarding himself with major honours both collectively as well as individually.

In my opinion, Messi has had a better team throughout his career which has given him an advantage. 10-11 Barça was amazing. Messi has possibly been in the best trio of all time with Suárez and Neymar. When MSN was around they were unstoppable for the most part. Messi also had prime Xavi and Inestia with Busquets which they were magic together along with Dani Alves. Dani Alves is still going strong for his age and always been consistent. Only time I think Ronaldo had a better team was 07-08 and 13-14, which if the teams for both were reverse; I think Ronaldo would of won as many titles too.

Romero Ram.. You are looking at it the wrong way. Ronaldo Ends Great players careers. I will use 1 example Ricardo Kaka Who was better than both Luis Suares and Neymar in his prime whilst at AC Milan. Have a look at what Ronaldo did to his Self belief when they Joined Real Madrid in a period to revive the Galacticos of Figo, Zizou and Ronaldo (Brazil). CR7 outshined Kaka so much so that he was sold by Real Madrid after a couple of Seasons, believe me in Kaka's prime he was a absolute beast, ( probably the 3rd best player in the world and had he stayed at AC Milan would probably have excelled more) And that is something only CR7 can do. Guaranteed that if CR7 was on the same team as Suarez and Neymar the same outcome would have happened. look at the list of some Great names that Ronaldo made look average when in the same team, Karim Benzema (who if you are honest with yourself is On the same level as Luis Suarez), Gareth Bale ( at Tottenham was on another Level Look what he did to Inter Milan in Champions League one Season). Man I could Go on and On Wayne Rooney ( Same Level as Luis Suarez in his Prime and the reason for the English media's Vendetta against CR7) that is just some names.. If it's about beautiful playing style and beautiful football, MSN and Messi are better than BBC and Ronaldo. However football is about numbers and winning competitions. MSN wasn't unstoppable, during their reign they had just 1 impressive season in 2015 (and that was gifted to them by RM's mistakes rather than them being superior) the rest of the seasons were just average performances while statpadding against smaller teams, no wonder players like Suarez won the golden boot twice but their team got constantly destroyed by European teams and Zidane's RM and failed to make any impact (even the 2 seasons they got the only 2 wins against Zidane's RM they failed to win the UCL and/or La liga), meanwhile Ronaldo&Benzema didn't even need a trio to do all the damage they did

Both incredible, point. Whoever starts picking between the two is not enjoying, is not watching, and will regret it when these two are off the pitch.

They were both 27 in their prime seasons in this video which I would say is about right but it’s hard to choose their prime years but personally I think that Messi from 2009-11 was his best years when he was only about 22-24 years old which is insane whereas Ronaldo’s is probably 2012-14 at Madrid where he was 27-29 but also his Manchester 07-08 season was insane but that wasn’t even his prime years yet which is phenomenal

The thing is, even now if you watch his matches, he still creates chances for his teammates, he could've had 300+ assists easily if he played with Messi's teammates. I'm a Messi fan but at the end of the day you guys have to stop downplaying Ronaldo, both CR7 and Messi are the goats

@@badboy-iz9ow I remember during the 2010/2011 season, Ronaldo gave a left foot pinpoint curved-assist from the halfway line to benzema who was running towards the box (literally 40 yards away) across the defenders, if that isn't a result of great vision then idk what is. Messi's style depends more on his vision (ex: Ronaldo almost never gives lofted through balls like messi does) but that doesn't mean Messi's vision is much better. In the 2017 final against Juventus, during the build up to Ronaldo's 1st goal Ronaldo received the ball near the box and Carvajal was running from behind, Ronaldo immediately combined passes with him without even turning his head or delaying the play, then he scored from that 1-2 combination, that's another example of his vision.

Difficult to choose. CR7 is more versatile and is more complete. Prime CR7 is good at everything. While prime Messi's dribbling and passing is from another universe. For me they were equal at prime 2010-2014. but after that CR7 changed his game and became mostly a goal scorer so it's been Messi all the way since then.

Playmaking is not necessary for a striker but heading is vital and great finishing with both foots along with lethal pace make him the most complete striker. However I agree Messi is better as a player.
