Fever Claw is such a cheerful song, shame they never recorded it in studio

If this were released as a 12" EP I would buy it in a flash

Loads better than the overcooked Sonic Flower Groove.

I remember when Sonic Flower Groove first came out. It was such a huge disappointment. The 1st two singles and the 3 early bbc sessions are so awesome and I was so looking forward to the album. A then I listened to this wishy washy overslick collection of songs and it was immediately clear Primal Scream had lost their sense of direction completely.

I 100% agree. I was so excited to get the LP. They could fit such genius into less than 2 minutes, what would a whole album be like ? Shut, that's what. It wasn't the songs, I'd heard most of them on bootlegs, the FEEL was wrong. Both half baked, and overcooked. SGT was a mess, a wasted opportunity.

@@iancopestick6757 for some reason I think that the long lost Stephen Street sessions might sound better than the Mayo Thompson mixes. those early singles and radial sessions are the bees knees.

@Jessica King I disagree, the trilogy of " Vanishing Point ", " XTRMNTR ', and " Evil Heat ", are some of, if not THE. most innovative rock-'n'-roll records ever. I'll admit that sometimes, SFG, Give Out, they've been nothing more than pop professors tinkering around with rock-'n'-roll history. I personally DESPISE " Dolls ", and pretty much the whole " Riot City Blues " LP. I will agree that they haven't made a good record since '02, BUT " Vanishing Point ", " XTRMNTR ", and " Evil Heat " are incredibly exciting, forward looking, innovative records. Name me a band since The Stones who've been able to come up with 3 great records like that. Even The Clash couldn't do it.
