This is partly related to the players' perspective on the game. I understand that Cutter owner is Turkish, I'm Turkish too. Unfortunately, the Turkish player community likes to play with "always better, bigger, more magnificent" toys, but they often do not know the features of the toys; they only have enough items to "feel strong", develop their ships or virtual characters. i hated when this happend to me i kinda was just trying to grind fed rank in my cutter and i got interdicted by a krait i had nothing but basic pulse lasers and he kept rebooting my fsd so i just shot him to not even scratch his hull while he just sniped my shields and whittled my ships hull down i did get away and the only reason why i did is because he got cocky with me being at 14% so he stopped keeping track of my fully charged fsd and i managed to jump out of the system but yea.... cutter cool but god sometimes is a nightmare to fly.

Gotta admit I am curious what do you do with fellow imperials module shopping? Seen a few of the videos and love the Cobra , sadly I only have access to the MK3.

If they're in an imperial aligned squadron then they're known to be module shopping and probably given a pass. I say "probably" here because there's also the bit about bounties/warrants

It would be funny to see you catch some of the known and active gankers and bring them to justice. Some of them stream on Twitch, so they're quite easy to stream-snipe.

@@CMDRNaQan Ironically, some of the streaming gankers do exactly that: stream snipe to gank other streamers.

Equivalent of an armored knight in shining armor, that got stopped by bandints, and when smooth talking him sudden knife-kill from the back to the neck. In similar conditions i boost-boost-boost, before talking, lol. Distance is everything.

Right! I was expecting the same thing that he would atleast begin moving. That’s why I was all over the place and missing the mine drops. It bought enough time for all the smack talk which was equally amusing.

@@CMDRNaQan Haha, yes the sound of mines (i wonder if he heard that) was very suspicious.. is he even aware of the reverb effect? "Competent" should be knowledgeable enough. Flying a cutter im super scared of reverb stuff. (Not that i can kill small things anyway). I wonder if theres a counter to that many mines/missles.

@@alexanderbenkendorf688 those CG PDT are very effective. I would Instantly spot one out based on the sheer number of PDT rounds that are being fired at my mines and missiles. Counter? Just don’t fly straight and never towards the mine ship. Always an outward vector, never let it close in. Might be easier than it sounds , but against my slow Cobra, speed is the easy counter.

@@alexanderbenkendorf688 Speed, drifting, and point defense. Never get baited into following them either as you want them to dive bomb you. It's much harder for them to pull off, and when they get close you boost and use maneuvering thrusters to launch yourself in opposite direction from the mines. Speed can counter torpedoes, and during the fed vs imp CG I countered a type-10 torp boat by just having fun drifting and boosting around. At the end my allies were wondering how much damage my shield generator took since they were screaming in voice about the torp threat, and I just laughed and said zero.

And the Cutter is fast. Add mine launchers to a Cutter, boost, drop mines and it'll be difficult to keep up with a Cutter. And the Cutter can low-wake from anything.

Loving ur videos, am new to the game and want to start combat. Seeing you own in so many different ships gives me hope that you can win in every ship if in the right hands. What ship would you recommend to a new player? and what ship would be the "end goal"? (i have 500 mil cr atm)

Thanks! Regarding the ship in question, you want to find what kind of activity you enjoy the most. And you’ll eventually find the ship that fits your style. You choose your own goal. If PVP is in mind, then you’ll need to consider what ships can you afford to lose. Which will then be tied to how much you enjoy both earning money and engineering grind. The bigger the ship, the more you’ll need to grind for credits and materials. I prefer small ships. They are cheap. 160,000 rebuy. Less modules to engineer, and my builds are anti-shield meta. So it fits perfectly with what everyone flies. Majority of players goes for the big ships. It gives them false sense of security, as seen in my videos. There are however, those who also mastered and engineered theirs. Which makes them even tougher opponents to fight. At the end, you choose what enjoy the most and build around that. My whole approach may not be the best. I have other ships, dedicated to traveling and going to areas where I can farm engineering materials. I’m in a squadron that allows me to wing up and they share missions that I can make money from. Squadron is probably your first step. Keep an open mind, people also get fanatical about builds. And end up in a competitive trap that end up going against similar builds. While I like to go against that and still have fun. Hope this helps. I kinda prefer night mode. I’ll check my settings. I have DTX enabled for system audio. That might have something to do with it.

Lmao another new cmdr with big ship is best syndrome. A while ago this cmdr was talking crap in sys chat on ps4 saying he was going to kill me i didnt know who he was as on ps4 everyone in the pvp community knows each other. I was in a spicey fas he and his wing m8 were both in cutters he typed lol a fas in chat then lost his shit when he got melted ahh it felt so good..

I hope he was joking and just wanted to experience the rebuy screen. If not then he’s the worst pilot ever. How the f can someone die in a cutter. It is the easiest ship to survive in and even escape with. One boost and highwake and he would be far gone. But yes, pride/ stubbornness and stupidity goes hand in hand.

It’s funny, 5 years ago, I decided to only fly small ships, because when I flew medium ships, most cmdr I pulled would hi-wake instantly. I switched to small ships to entice ships for a fight, and it worked! I think this video sums up how effective this tactic. I always remember Sun Tzu’s quote. “Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak”. It very much still applies in this game.

@@CMDRNaQan That is true. Also why I always fly Troll ships. So when people jump me and think that is a cute passenger ship or cargo hauler for an easy kill, then the ship is actually engineered for maximum combat😂 people always get so pissed. But hey not my fault people never check loadout 😉👍

Let's not ignore the fact that this person definitely *couldn't* boost away at some point thanks to the ion disruptor mine, and the shield strength obviously doesn't matter at all here either. Take away engines and shields and we're left with what's really only a large target that probably wouldn't be able to get out in time before either the engines or FSD were shot out

And on that day, a very important lesson was learned. ... The hard way! ... Or was it the easy way? 🤔

Game needs engineering material trading i would absoluetly trade game money for mats to engineers my ship cuz without engineering mymship isnt worth much in pvp no matter how big it is.

Didn't move, didn't SCB, didn't return fire or rotate at all. I feel like he just had his friend sit still for 5 minutes and the conversation seemed canned/scripted. That’s the beauty about this build, most shield tanks feels over-confident behind all their defenses that they just become complacent. Or in this case, their “pride” leads to their downfall, hence the title. Only staged portion was the opening shot of a different gold cutter, for title purpose only, but it’s not the same one that was destroyed.

I thought by adding a “Rules of Engagement” slide will answer this question. I also added a POP up graphic with arrows pointing at why this ship was a legitimate target. Please watch video again… there’s a also a pause button if it’s too fast for you. Skill? Hard to tell if any was needed tbh. But knowledge of game mechanics was both they key and failure of other cmdr. He was heavily shied ranked. Without reverb cascades you’ll never break his shields, and even if you did get close, the cutter would simply wake out. Take your current ship at its current load out. And do exactly what I did here. Tell me if you will achieve the same results.
