While listening to you tell Danielle's story and what happened to her many years after her car accident hit me directly I was in a car accident in 20 plus years later I had to have a laminectomy I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis and right now I have a rod holding my spine together because of the car accident that I was in with my mother God rest her Sweet soul. I have had a knee replacement and now I need a hip replacement and found out in September that I have a curve in my spine. I have to use a cane or my Walker for me to get around. I didn't know she had been through so much after hearing this I am feeling blessed. Prayers for her.

Danielle Spencer was definitely the TV sister we all wanted to be growing up when I was a kid. Dee was killing it on What's Happening.

I was just watching What’s Happening Now on Tubi! She’s been though a lot and she’s a tower of strength and a real role model for us all. She was a great precocious child actress. I still laugh at her! She still makes me smile.

I loved her on What's Happening and WHN her sarcastic delivery was top notch and she was the funniest of the cast

She was my favorite child actor with Kim fields right behind her. She reminded me of myself from the looks and the mouth. She is so beautiful with pretty skin. I pray she gets better🙏🏾

She's resilient. And a living miracle 🙏

I think of Dee everytime I need a quarter!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂. She makes me glad I was the only child😂😂😂😂. Can we please get a story on Shirley Hemphill?? I know you did the What's Happening story a few years ago but I feel Shirley deserves her own.

🎉longtime fan of Danielle's career since she starred as dee Thomas on what's happening since 1976 .I was 10 years old then & me & my 3 older brothers watched the show religiously!

I always wondered why she stopped acting, but I just figured she wanted to pursue other avenues. Thanks for the video ❤️

Omg! How dreadful!!! 😥 I used to watch What's Happening just to see Dee, she was the LIFE of that show. And this doesn't take away from the other characters I enjoyed watching them as well, Danielle was just the funniest because her comedy was so raw, and authentic for her to be so young! But, unfortunately she's not the only one on the show that suffered so tremendously, health wise, so did her TV Mom (Google) It?... But as you said: "She's still here!" And that's all that matters. I was at Tuskegee the same time as Danielle. She was extremely kind and soft spoken. Mostly stayed in her room studying whenever I was over to her apartment to visit her roommate and she was quiet and smiled a lot. I wish her wellness. ❤

I remember playing " Dee" in my elementary school play. I was 10 years old. Yes Danielle is a extraordinary actress and she has paved the way for other child actors. Her strength and resilience is truly amazing and she is in my prayers. I am wishing her blessings and abundance and she is the light for others because she continues to fight and has never given up.
