Man this guy is efficient with the delivery of information. One of the only instructors I can't 2x the speed of the video cause I can barely keep up at normal speed. Excellent information and a must watch for anyone doing this type of testing. This is 100% a pause and take notes and rewatch several times video, there is so much information crammed into a lesson under an hour. It's a little alarming to hear him say this was "quick overview" of this testing 😂.

Great Class Bernie I always watch your Videos and there all understandable specially this In cylinder , Good Technic to finding this hard misses that can't be seen with the scanner only with an oscilloscope the hard part is interpreting the waveform details

27:00 would the air intake cycle pull more exhaust in from the high pressure exhaust manifold via the closed leaking exhaust valve instead of air through the more vacuum intake manifold via the open intake valve? Is this the cause that that cylinder misfires ?

sir,,how the atmospheric air that goes to the exhaust pipe in rush into combustion chamber if the exhaust valve still close and when it's open their's an exhaust gas rushing out from combustion chamber to exhaust system therefore the air from atmosphere cannot come in.....

Amazing! When Bernie says waveform gap from centre TDC line should be with 20deg, does he mean compared to the next pressure peak, or that one half (compression) of peak tower should be within 20deg of the other half (decompression) ... sometimes he goes a bit fast and it can be difficult to get what he means. Any help?

Detailed explanation Bernie. There are dozens of people making cheap transducers using eBay components. Drawbacks being slow sample rates and the lack of the ability to measure below zero. Has anyone found an affordable transducer that is better quality to experiment with?

The low cost gauge pressure sensors (e.g., 0.5 to 4.5 volt = 0 to 200 psi) do read below zero! The gauges are "zeroed" to atmospheric pressure at sea level with a voltage output of 0.5 volts. Any "pressure" less than sea level will give a reading below 0.5 volts. A 200 psi gauge has about -25psi / 51"Hg vacuum measuring capability.

It does seem to be confusing. Sometime volume is used correctly as it indicates area. But I have never heard of something leaking volume. And when he speaks of air then we have a compressible and expandable gas which is the mass contained within the area or volume. I think.😮

Adiabatic = Heat (Q) doesn't change from previous state . Definitely right not enough time for thermal expansion on compression stroke.. heat from intake process dont have enough time to shed head
