I have seen one amazing video with Keith and now Bernie. Keep them coming.
Just an FYI for others watching/learning - there are a few times in this video where he refers to the "volume" of the air when what he really means is the "mass" of the air i.e the actual quantity of air molecules and not the amount of space they occupy.
So when should you use CKP misfire analyzer as opposed to using IEA misfire analyzer with Venturi?
Hi. Do any of the 2011 Hyundai, like my Sonata, use the FOB to button to start, plus the FOB slot in the middle console? Thank you.
14:13 A little knit picky here, but a better statement is "infinite resistance, no load". Beautiful diagnosis as always Bernie.
Great work very Professional
What's ur rate per hour, and is it like first hour diag then add more time if u go over I'm assuming
Hi. My 1994 d21 nissan truck idling rough but won't die and lose power.
Can that computer tell you about what’s going on with the transmission
Dude, where is this mechanic at and can you diagnose my 2018 Honda Accord misfire?
Where was the pinched wire. I have exactly the same problem. Only thing is that randomly I get “ park assist fault “ - I have a lot of lost combustion codes, but when I get the park assist fault - magna ride suspension goes in full stiff mode and it’s unpleasant to drive ☹️
Will this scan tool transition to electric vehicles in the future. Does it do anything w/ adas? I came here specifically searching to see if this scan tool automagically calculates VE, and it does. Nice tool.
I would love your job 👍
I had to look up the price of this scope 😮. Have you used the uscope?
*Check main radio unit cooling fan operation... In my situation, the can bus noise was coming from the l5962 overheating and sharply shutting down due to bad fan driver & poor thermal transfer.
Bernie is out of space
Anyone else fall asleep watching KZread just to wake up to this?
Right here mate
Awesome video, this video is so educational. Thank you
you sir are a lifesaver !! i swap all timming comonats on one of these junks, a month later this problem manifest, been pulling my hair out!! and whil i do have snapon modis, i hate sylliscope setup, and may have missed this subtle wave deformity anyway< but a quick visual varif path of center relucter wheel too close to center sensor , i believ what happen is over time cheap makeshift afterthout ckp sensor braket get heat distorted ! JUNK ! but some quick adjustment to t-covor and grind sharp edge off of half tooth and she runs perfectt !! GOOD FIND THANK YOU !
My Subaru Impreza has all spark and injector pulse swings want to start but still not starting what can it be Bernie
Incredible diagnostic skills!!!
As always, you are the master and I also like the way you teach us
Excelente video e información . Muchas gracias Bernie . KIKE® de taller Pit Lane Costa Rica.
Aswesome uncle Bernie! Thank for sharing
Excited to see this technique, until I saw the $4,000 price tag.
Just yesterday I did 275psi into system... I do remember that around 140psi the system was holding. But 275psi suddenly no. I thougjt... good, I ve saved money cos I have a leak... more likely I ve made the like by myown. Thanks for information, evap core job in front of me now....
Bernie drove a yellow hummer to stand out and apart from the competition.
You don't often see cam timing being correct, despite ignition timing being way off.
Id like to see you do a diag on a 2006 Ford 5.4 3v throwing misfires 1-4 bank 1, throwing running rich bank 2, running lean bank 1 & 2. 132k original miles new plugs and coils. Gas tank pressure sensor is bad Runs rough at red light, hesitates at take off then quickly smooths out. Truck also shakes bucks at 40mph when increasing speed slowly. Doesnt buck with overdrive off and if you increase speed quickly. Would it be all possible that the gas tank pressure sensor being bad could cause that? I dont gave ability to run fuel trims, o2 or maf. I wish a cheaper scanner did.
Thank you so much Bernie for this video! I just recently did a timing chain job on my Mustang 4.0L and I had the same issue and code. I had to grind down the timing cover so the crank sensor would align with the tone ring. Now the engine runs smooth. Thank you sir!
I have a 2006 TSX I’ve replaced axles and wheels bearings and still humming/vibrations what could it be it’s driving me insane
FYI for the viewers: Bernie misspoke at 13:28 by saying "The white is the UD solenoid." This is actually the OD solenoid. I am not criticizing Bernie in any way, I am trying to save viewers the 30 minutes of head scratching I was doing trying to figure out whether the tranny was in 3rd gear or 4th gear.
Dude, you’re awesome. That was so cool how you solved this.
11:52 Bernie was not skipping the opportunity to recreate the famous Vegeta meme!
This is diagnostics mastery thank you For your tutorial
This vehicle has a 5V reference, a 3.3V reference and an 8V reference all on one wire!
Have you ever got a Pontiac Aztek with a smashed windshield?
You definitely need a better mic so that when you're trying to talk over the Nissan trumpets we can actually hear you
Wow you've no doubt been doing this a good while. I'm dealing with the same thing on a 02 super duty 6.8L
53:46 A little tech tip, any time you are disconnecting a battery and draining surcharge from the positive wire to the negative wire like that, you want to make sure you don't have an auxiliary battery or any kind of second battery in your system. These are common on luxury cars, cars with start-stop systems, or diesel pickup trucks. The consequence of connecting the 10 ohm resistor with another battery still connected is you would melt the resistor.
Seems like power surges makes mine worse
This is my first video and this is great stuff. I did plugs I believe on that motor recently and was able to remove the coils and plugs with a some effort and no intake removal . I think you can do the front one pretty easy to do bank 2 in cylinder waveform. All of them are not fun and you have to be careful because the plug sticks to the boot pretty good. Cool alternate technique though.
It’s only 5 grand I may buy three
People complained about electric throttle body whine? LOL
Where can I contact this guy I have a question for him
Land Rover computers are more fragile than a glass vase in the hands of an angry Karen.
After replacing the fuel pump Im now having a problem with a vapor lock and my new pump is making a ringing/humming noise off and on-is there a way to fix it with a inline check valve or inline filter of some sort. I have to release pressure on the fuel rail to re-crank it after it runs for more than 20 minutes/ which is a possible fire risk.
Does someone have enough technical knowledge to explain why the Nissan's injector waveforms had, what appears to be, a mini sine-wave after the towers? Based on my knowledge, it would suggest that there is some type of capacitance in the circuit, as circuits with both inductance and capacitance will oscillate like this.
