General Barrow CMC. Best CMC ever. The improvements he made to the Marine Corps post Vietnam era are incredible. Such a dignified Marine. General Barrow and Ronald Reagan made for a very great time in our history. I miss them both, and I am very proud to have served under them both as a Marine.

Gen. Barrow was my commanding officer then a Col. in Vietnam 67 68, 9th Marine Regiment 3rd Marine Div.
Very touched to learn, appreciate and remember America’s greatness, strength and kindness nature altogether. RIP President Reagan.

That is ALWAYS what Marines no longer on active duty were called.
I love Ronald Reagan he was governor of California for 2 terms rent was everything rent there weren't homeless in the street. Semper Fidelis Ronnie.

In BEIRUT at this time.. Gen . Barrow was at our graduation at P arris Island. 79-81 in Okinawa at Schwab he came for an unannounced visit. He was friggin pissed off at us. His daughter was married to a Capt. I believe. She told daddy about Marines being Marines. WTF you expect at Schwab with nothing but grunts and trackers and tankers. He was livid with us. Gen. Barrow visited us in the field...kind of smoothed things over.
Ok was in the band for a years a bit long.
