Solo preppers die, community support survives. Look at history and you'll learn that small towns and villages were the norm. Large cities will die and cannot be maintained without electricity, fuel, food, etc. Solo people die when they get sick, etc... I do agree with you that preps need to be secret but preppers need to communicate and gain support in numbers. You made a great point, good job.

I think sometimes prepping seems far fetched because the focus is on one disaster issue. Prepping is for any from the temporary loss of a job for a while, up to the all out SHTF. It's just smart to do for one's self and for emergencies that happen.

If you bought iodine, be very careful. It really shouldn’t be ingested. It can make you very sick. What you would be MUCH better off buying is called- “Potassium Iodide”. These come as pills and are much safer and effective against radiation being absorbed by the thyroid, which is what you would use the iodine for. If you can only use iodine, you might be better off slathering large amounts on your leg, inner thigh, inner arm, or stomach, so your body can absorb it naturally. Also, buying apple or fruit pectin to drink if you’ve been exposed to radiation, is said to bind to the radiation and then excreted out of the body through urination. Apple juice is also helpful. This is what saved many lives, in other radiation accidents in the past and in Japan. Hope this is helpful. 😊

You are not crazy. The Holy Spirit is urging you to prepare. Stay close to Christ and keep preparing. Good for you and good for you to listening to the urging of the Holy Spirit. So many dont. I wish I had your thinking at this age. My husband and I are just waking up. Honestly if you aren't Catholic, please consider it as well. I saw that your username is christ orientated. I assumed you are a Chrisitian or some sort. Look into Catholism. Its Christs true church. If you are going to prep physically, it's also important to prep spiritually. Catholicism provides those tools to spiritually survive. I'm sorry but the other Christian sects dont measure up. Good luck on your journey. Stay close to Jesus.

Modern agriculture is dependent on agrochemical fertilizers. The fertilizers actually damage the soil and prevent the creation of organic material in the soil. So every year the soil gets worse and requires more fertilizer. Eventually, farm soil will get to the point where it will no longer sustain crops. Also, monoculture crops are very fragile and susceptible to possible widespread destruction by insects or diseases.

Ray and Lindsay are a bit more aligned with my philosophy. Their no bs approach is so much better than a lot of preppers on this show. There are too many shoot first and things go boom preppers who have no idea how to make food. You have to have to balance homesteading knowledge with a real world physical setup like having enough viable land to grow enough food for the rest of you and your kids lives. Security is built on top of that homestead. Food preservation knowledge and the materials (in bulk with redundancy) to preserve your hard grown foods are essential. Hunting and fishing just won't cut it with climate change and forecasts showing that 25% of all species will dissappear in the next 75 years. Growing food in a warming planet with the risk of drought, forest fires, floods and major weather events need to be taken into account for the type of vegetables you can grow.

All people used to be preppers, they grew and store their food, and they were armed and ready to fight, and live in communities to compliment each other. We modern people are the odd ones, we keep relaying on the government until something unexpected happens, we would became totally vulnerable, and more likely face our demise.

Perhaps telling the world that you're a prepper hand how much you have is a mistake... it's probably less of a mistake honestly then telling their friends and neighbors or telling everyone local with a radio show. Telling the world is just a oddity that nobody will remember when shot goes down or if they do they certainly won't know where to go looking for them, but as he said telling his friends and neighbors had already led to them saying they would come to him. When that community gets desperate all the training and guns won't stop a mob going after them and their family. Possibly even holding them hostage and threatening their child to get them to lead them to the food and supplies

Yeah that’s thing that makes me wonder about this show. Why would these people put their info out there. If not that then maybe using the show to recruit new people. After all that then I have no clue.

In my (22f) lifetime it is highly probable. The sun is in solar maximum right now, with flare activity much higher than originally predicted. And will reach maximum again around 2034-36. So if a coronal mass ejection in Carrington event proportions or more doesn't hit earth this time, it may well the next. Crop die-offs are occurring at a rapid rate. With food shortages ramping up in frequency. The ocean is "boiling", fish die-offs are washing up and soon the lands will begin creating ever expanding heatdomes thanks to greenhouse gas levels, and loss of polar caps to reflect solar radiation. Whoever takes Putin's place will either continue his tyranny, set off the nukes, or simmer down and any news from that front will distract the world long enough for China to invade Taiwan, again, sparking World War 3. The USA is heading for civil war. Australia is planning for Republicanism, and heading for another horrendous bushfire season this southern summer 2023-24. Brazil, Russia, India, Czech Republic and South Africa is forming an economic alliance which will destroy the US dollar. And all it takes for it rabies to mutate to have a longer, slowly more aggressive infection to fatality timeframe.
